5.0 out of 5 stars claptons finest hour, 6 Jun. 2009
This review is from: Wheels Of Fire (Audio CD)
This album is worth buying for one track alone, the live CROSSROADS, which features the greatest rock guitar solo ever. Clapton at his absolute peak, playing with real fire and passion, driven along of course by the power of Jack Bruces bass playing and Ginger Bakers drumming. Nobody (apart from Hendrix) ever even came close to this. Spine tingling even on the thousanth play. Forget Beck, Page and Blackmore this is the genuine article.

5.0 out of 5 stars peter greens finest hour, 6 Jun. 2009
This review is from: Then Play On (Audio CD)
having shaken off the 12 bar blues manacles peter green finally delivered the full potential of his incredibly varied song writing, guitar playing and under-rated voice. This was fleetwoods macs finest hour and is one of the greatest rock albums of all time. The pinnacle was all too brief, the live shows of the band at this time (Bath jazz and blues festival) unsurpassed.
Sadly peters acid experiences sent him on a downward spiral from which he never recovered.
Relish this, a band at their absolute peak.
