3.0 out of 5 stars what's all the fuss about?, 5 Dec 2010
i went to the cinema with a friend desperate to show me this 'amazing' film, but it really wasn't worth the hype.

plot is kind of predictable, acting is ok, cgi isn't exactly ground breaking.

I even liked the twist with the totem at the end, but this film just didn't live up to the hype for me.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dissapointed, 11 Mar 2010
= Fun:2.0 out of 5 stars
Gutted, i loved the original and to be honest they took a great game and dumbed it down for consoles, been looking forward to this game for a while.

the economy aspect is gone, i actually think the graphics are worse than Forged Alliance.

Quite a few bugs that proved really frustrating, like you can only build when you have a single engineer selected, rather than with a group.

i don't understand why they have created a game for casuals with SC2 just around the corner, itll get good reviews in magazines, but in a months time or so the casual gamers will be playing starcraft 2, and the more hardcore gamers will have gone back to supreme commander : forged alliance.

Why must i be online on steam to play single player? what the hell is this?!

Also: Supreme Commander 2 = SupCom2, Starcraft II = SC2.

1.0 out of 5 stars don't buy this game for PC, 4 Nov 2009
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
do not buy this game if you want to play online.

there are no plans to fix the issues raised by a petition signed by 46000 angry players.

the fact that amazon had to delete almost 300 one star reviews already should speak for itself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Another DRM failure, 30 Oct 2009
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This review is from: Borderlands (PC DVD) (DVD-ROM)
i bought this game under the impression i could play it now, the shop said it was available now and so did the website, when i got it and tried to play the game i was informed could not play the game untill the PC release date that was a week behind the console version (no explanation given even though all three versions of the game were advertised as available now)

so while i waited for the DRM to allow me to play a game i was hoding in my hand, people who pirated copies of the game were able to play as much as they wanted. Also, why should i have to purchase two copies of this game just so i can play with my brother in the same room?

DRM doesn't stifle piracy and it only inconveniences legal purchasers of software.

As i write this i am still unable to play the game because when the date finally rolled round there is an error thrown by the anti-piracy software that comes with the game, it WILL NOT let me install the game even though my game is genuine, while i wait for them to email me a patch to fix their broken security software,i am very seriously considering taking the game back for a refund.

make sure you research what anti-piracy have before you purchase them, you may find its better just to avoid them altogether.

do NOT buy this game if you have a computer under 2 years old.

it will not run because the videos in this game do not support new graphic drivers, it is no longer supported either, so there is no way of playing the game.

look up "DMCR errors in Cossacks", a lot of forum threads about this, but no real solutions that work for everyone, downgrading video drivers and modifying the install files all failed.

i'd be pissed if i bought it and found there was no way to play it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Pretty, but thats about it., 14 Oct 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
the battles are so frustrating, the AI seems completley inept and once all your guys are shooting theres not much to do but sit back and watch till one team runs away.

i played one campaign and went back to Medieval total war II.

thought we'd give this a try never having played magic before, really easy to learn thanks to the comic strip style guide.

definatley recommend this for anyone looking to play or learn magic: the gathering, though you are going to want to buy one of the core decks to play a real game, as the cards will be significantly more powerful and with more options, which makes for more interesting games.

1.0 out of 5 stars good game ruined by SecuRom, 19 Jun 2009
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
Dispite buying this game, i cannot play it on my computer because the spyware that installs with it (securom) refuses to let the game play because it is convinced there is emulation software on my computer, even though it is a fresh install of XP.

buy the game, leave it in the box, then download a pirate copy without the spyware and enjoy.

do not buy this game.

go back to playing RA2, its better gameplay and you dont have EA spyware eating up your ram while you try to boot your computer.
