2.0 out of 5 stars Good idea. Poor quality product and poor service, 10 July 2013
The jawbone up is a good idea in principle and has transformed my life since purchasing but only after 2 months, it has stopped working. Their European support is non existent and I am still waiting for a reply so the warranty is only as good as the instrastructure behind it.. I would look at the alternatives as clearly the problems with the 1st generation have not been resolved.

1.0 out of 5 stars A disaster of a game. No game on the disc you buy, just a code to download it off a site that is blocked by firewalls, 9 Oct 2010
= Fun:1.0 out of 5 stars
This is not a game you buy in a box, stick it into the computer and play. It is all controlled through Steam, an on line distributor. You need a IT degree to know how to load an dplay the game. I tried of 5 different computers and all failed to load due to an inability to "get online" - despite being on line. So many firewalls block steam content that it makes the purchase of this game a complete waste of money. If you decide to buy it, expect to find it will not load. If you are a competer geek of the first order and really understand computer coding, then you may find a way around the problems but to the simple person that wants to just play the game off the DVD, then dont bother.

No comment on the game, just cant get it to load. Looking at the reviews, it appears to be a big dissappointment.

5.0 out of 5 stars All the best soups in one book, 22 Sep 2010
This is marvellous. They seem to have combined all the recipes they seem to have ever made and detailed how to make them in this book of 365 recipes. Its a bigger book than all the others (well obviously) and they have moved away from the ring bound book style to the more posh book style that so many books now use. Even has gold writing on it. Its easily laid out so recipes are easy to follow. They remain true to the other books and have no photographs of the finished soups..... but then its a soup not a Coq au Vin! Love it. Now to try tomorrows soup today.

5.0 out of 5 stars another superb soup book, 19 Sep 2009
There a lot of soup books out there but the range of new covent garden ones are by far and away the best. I think their secret is that as they are in the business of making great soups, all recipes are tested and trialled as part of their business and not just for the sake of writing a book. I have the other 3 books and all are different, with not one poor recipe yet. This one links to the occasions that you can eat soup. Its pumpkin season at the moment and the halloween soup recipes are great. It doesn't have any pictures of the finished recipe but I think that its not needed when it comes to soup. Its going to be a few peoples christmas presents this year.

5.0 out of 5 stars Marvelous soup book, 10 Jun 2009
This is the definitive soup book. It does all the great favourites that you can buy in supermarket and also it pushes the food boundaries a bit and offers some really interesting new soups that you have to be a little brave to try. I have made around a third of the soups and they are excellent. I have impressed many a friend with them. The soups in the supermarket are pretty good too so on those days where you just cant be bothered, but want some soup, its a good alternative.

Blue Ocean Strategy: How To Create Uncontested Market Space And Make The Competition Irrelevant
Blue Ocean Strategy: How To Create Uncontested Market Space And Make The Competition Irrelevant

4.0 out of 5 stars Read the first half of the book - excellent. 2nd half- dull, 27 Jan 2006
I have been reading their reviews over the years and its good to see a summary book of their principles of value innovation. Their contextual examples really emphasise their thoughts well and for any practising marketeer, the strategic canvass section is an excellent tool in developing genuine new market space. By identifying key qualities in a market, or consumer need, and then reducing, eliminating, increasing or creating qualities, new market space is found. The end of the book is filler and offers no more insight than many other books on similar subjects - but then at least you only have to read half the book to gets it true value.
