Try the Michelin Green Guide, 31 Oct 2013
By the standards we have come to expect of Lonely Planet this came as a great disappointment. Turkey is of course a big country and impossible to cover in great detail in a single volume, but the paucity of information in this guide is frankly astonishing. I bought this on a last minute basis because I had left my other guides at home; it gave me practically nothing I didn't already know and missed out totally a great deal that I did. The level of coverage of archaeological sites is virtually nil, the maps are more or less OK if all you want is to get from one main town to another, but of zero value if you want to examine the villages of the interior. The index is so full of holes you can't find half the place names you are looking for (presumably because considered of no interest by the editors). The pretty pictures in no way make up for the lacunes in the coverage.
