Listenable to, but not one I'd play often.

I prefer their older stuff.

Favourite song - Bows and Arrows

Classic SOH.

Traditional song made good with a modern touch.

Some lovely harmonies and melodies.

A little slow in places, but if you like simple, de-constructed songs that are easy on your frazzled brain after a long day at work, this album will help you unwind.

Completely devvy, with a thrill on every page for us wheeler lovers!

Couldn't read it fast enough.

Great storyline, with plenty of twists and turns to keep you interested.

I love this song. Asgeir reaches some pretty high notes on this one!

It's a very chilled out and laid back song - easy listening. Download it now

4.0 out of 5 stars It grows on you..., 11 Mar 2014

This title track of the album takes a few listens, but will eventually grow on you.

I would recommend this song, 'Higher' and 'Kings and Crosses' to download, but the whole album is good. It's quite laid back, with a bit of electronics and brass band stuff thrown in for good measure. Asgeir has quite a high voice, but nice and with a distinct accent, which isn't unpleasant. A very relaxing album, including this song.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money!, 12 Aug 2013

Much better value for money than buying them as individual series. Unfortunately didn't discover this until we had already bought Series 1 and 2 seperately. Quite a big box, but considering the number of doscs in it, not surprising. A good buy.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like it was recorded in a public toilet, 5 Aug 2013

Sounds very echoey, obviously intentional, but not to my taste. Music mediocre. Like 'broken', but the rest of the album a waste of time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great song, but let down by the sound quality, 6 Aug 2012

I heard this song in the film Coming Home and loved it, but found it very hard to track down which album it was from. Luckily I found it as a download single, so saved myself the effort.

I haven't heard anything else by Tim Buckley, so can only judge this song in isolation, but it has a wistful, folky sound to it - very much of its time, very laid back and relaxing, but also haunting at the same time.

I would recommend the song, but if I could get hold of a better recording of it I would. The sound levels seems to dip down halfway through the song, as though you have turned the volume down and there is a constant (but faint) background hiss throughout the track.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic film, shame about the extras, 6 Aug 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a fantastic film, with a great story line and starring the recently departed Gore Vidal, may he rest in peace.

I won't bore you with the story line, as other reviewers have already gone into this in detail.

If you are buying this DVD for the deleted scenes, please don't bother. The quality of the film in these outtakes is shockingly bad - very blurry. There are also not many deleted scenes, the few there are are not very long and they also add nothing to the understanding of the film itself. We are not talking Avatar collector's edition deleted scenes here.

I would recommend buying the bog standard edition rather than this one - or something that has been digitally enhanced in some way.

The film itself is fantastic and the only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 was because of the rubbish 'extras'.
