4.0 out of 5 stars Worth re reading, 31 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I give it four stars because it's too academic in places and not accessible always. This book is amazing...you read it at an almost subconscious level. It's about going deep into yourself as a woman, facing all the truths of being a reproductive, creative, ageing, strong, emotional person. Society has "tamed" women, and it takes a fair effort to break free.

1.0 out of 5 stars India equals Clara?, 31 Dec. 2012
This review is from: Mutton (Hardcover)
Look, India knight likes to rant. The main character here, Clara, speaks in a bored, superior, condescending, patronising tone that's probably a mask for her rage. Clara is full of self loathing. Nothing saddens me more than any woman knocking any other woman, criticising and judging and putting women down. Why go through life upsetting people and making others miserable?
