5.0 out of 5 stars So good we bought two - but can be fragile, 22 Sept. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So good we bought two and I'm thinking of buying a third!

However, the buttons to turn the sheep on do seem to wear out fast and only 2 legs are working now :(

It's tough to keep him clean, but he is much loved and the sounds helped no end in getting our little boy to sleep from birth to two years old.

5.0 out of 5 stars the lost brother, 18 Oct. 2005
This is the best WW2 book i've read and i've read a lot. It's written like a novel and is as gripping as it could be. Yet it is all true. Written after the war by one of the band of brothers (who died before it was fully published) it gives a full and detailed account of his experiences. Landing behind lines at D-Day, in holand and at the end of the third reich.
EXCELLENT. Buy it.
You won't be sorry.

5.0 out of 5 stars cassette boy...takes the mick!, 4 May 2005
I've got all the cassette boy stuff i could find. I loved his other cd's. The parker tapes was great, inside a whales cock even better. But if you are looking for the hilarious, brilliant mixes and cut 'n' pastes like the big brother and news reader skits on the other cd's you might be disappointed. Dont get me wrong there are some funny skits on here and still Cassette boy's mastery of cuttin' and pastin' is amazin, but its not quite as good.
On the other hand it is very well mixed with some quality musicial offerings which fill in the bits inbetween far better than in the previous offerings.
If you are in the mood for laughter skip to the skits and listen to golfers talking about whacking golf balls with their family jewels or a man describing the important elements of a "ho". the third track is also terrific for this. With Cassette boy poking fun at himself/themselves.
If you are in the mood for chillin' the music is also fantastic and does not need skipping as it may have done before. To conclude Cassette boy has grown up, matured, but he still knows how to take the mick...go cop it!

4.0 out of 5 stars return of the mature B-boy, 3 May 2005
DJ Format is one of the cream of British Hip-Hop Deejays. His first album, "Music for the mature b-boy" was a pleasure to listen too. A sweet relief for the ears after accidentally listen to some POP on the radio. His beats are delicious and were only supremely supplemented by the Magnificent "Abdominal". Whose lyrical tennacity can only be compared with CAN-I-BUS (in his amazing mixtape days). The speed of delivery is shocking and yet perfectly delivered and well worth lisetening too. Especially "The HIT song" which is both clever, funny and very, very Hip-hop.
The new album is equally as good. With more fabulous beats by the fabulous beat man laced, once again, by the talented wordsmith "Abdominal". 3 feet deep is my favourite track by far and "MC De-cisive" is nearly as brilliant as "Abdominal". A must buy if you like any of them. Top Stuff!

5.0 out of 5 stars SCCccccrrraattttcchhhiiinn', 28 April 2005
DJ Yoda was voted one of the top ten DJ's you must see before you die by Q magazine. I dont know about that, but i do know this album started my obssession with "turntablism" as it is known. I've loved Hip-hop for years and then i came across "How to cut and paste vol.2" and heard "DJ YODA meets the A-Team". If god could make a perfect song and lace it with a perfect amount of perfectly timed scracthes and cuts it would sound like this. Dj Yoda is the British master of the turntable. The only people in the UK with an equal amount of class are Cassette boy, Dan greenpeace and DJ Format. Buy this CD listen to it...your ears will thank you. Listen to track.7 and the George Formby Turntablised track and you will wonder how you ever lived without it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ever heard a newsreader say "A**e"?, 28 April 2005
I heard the cassette boy track "JOLIVER" mixed up with the "Grange Hill" theme tune on DJ Yoda and Dan Greenpeace "Unthugged-essential mix" and i was hooked. Trying to get hold of Cassette Boy's "The Parker Tapes" (where "JOLIVER" originated) was a nightmare so i brought "Inside a Whales Cock" and it is possibly the funniest thing ever. The big brother skits are awesome ("A housemate is asleep/the other housemates are asleep/the viewers are asleep/what is the point of the big brother experience?" all by BB voice over guy) and so are the News broadcasts. Cassette Boy and DJ Rubbish are masters of cut, choppin' and sampling. Or if you don't like that "George Bush is an Islamic Fundamentalist - The Rub feat. Bill Clinton On Sax" is an essential, catchy listen which will have the CIA arresting you and taking you to a dark room for interrorgation and torture! If you like DJ Yoda then you will love Cassette Boy just as much so cop this. If you've never heard of DJ Yoda, you must be dead! Cassette boy rocks!

4.0 out of 5 stars ok, 11 Dec. 2000
This review is from: Represent (Audio CD)
This is a good album, incase you didnt notice they have a similar cover to NWA's straight out of compton, but it is not similar i.e it is not of much as a hip-hop classic. some of the songs about 2-3 are simply taken from mc eihts recent album "n my neighbourhood". however it is still a good album, and well worth buying, but if you are a first time listener of CMW, you should buy music to drive by, which is a classic.

5.0 out of 5 stars not much left to say, 18 Oct. 2000
after reading the review above by Kenji Jasper there is not much left to say, i am only just starting to get into ice-t after buying OG and seventh deadly sin, but this greatest hits album covers the range of all his albums and hits froms way back in the 80's to 2000. The man himself gives a description of the story behind the songs in the inlay card that is well worth a read, showing a deeper insight, the early eighties songs, are a bit that, early 80's, but still they are the greatest hits, this album does a good job of spanning the era. well worth buying, unless of course you already have all the albums.

5.0 out of 5 stars dpg representing, 18 Oct. 2000
If you bought "kuruption" and were dissappointed then fear not, this album is better, so have even said that it is better than dre's 2001, i would partially agree. unlike most albums on this one nearly all the tracks are good, with apperances from the usual dpg's (daz, snoop, dre, soopafly and nate) and strong production the album has a good feel too it. "the streets is a mutha" did well in the USA and it is not suprising. most of the tunes have a real summery feel to them, but it is one of those albums that you can listen to over and over and over again and still not get bored. in fact i would say it is one of the best from the dpgs since dogg food, well worth buying and well worth five stars.
