4.0 out of 5 stars A lot of promise. Not enough delivered., 9 Sep 2014
This review is from: Destiny (Xbox One) (Video Game)
Ok. So. What is this game? It is a first person shooter set in the future where aliens have invaded all the planets of the solar system, and it's up to you, the guardians, to protect the world from the oncoming darkness. As a multi-power wieiding guardian, you have the necessary powers to do just that! IS THIS GAME VIOLENT? No. Barr a few alien blood and guts of course! That's the early questions out the way eh. On to the main review!

CAMPAIGN:

Campaign is interesting enough. There's a decent backstory behind it and it is more than enjoyable. Problem is it is very samey. Fight to a specific place, defend the place while your little friend downloads info about the place. It all just feels samey.

MULTIPLAYER:

At first there is none apart from other online guys joining you on missions cooperatively. After you save the first world (EARTH) in the campaign, it is unlocked. Game modes include an enhanced Capture The Flag and Team Deathmatch. Gameplay Is fast and furious with a real breath of fresh air to it. Although it's yet another FPS online, it just feels different! And it's exciting! As I said. On the CAMPAIGN people often join you at random and it can be fun! Guns are simple an easily forgettable. And some players are overly powered. It is fun though for around an hour.

SAFE PLACE (Forgotten its name!)

After you've done wreaking havoc amongst the stars, return to base, the only safe place in the universe! There, you will find stalls, selling weapons, armor and all sorts. It's more exciting than an Ibizan market! Also at base you will find other players to interact with. You can talk to them, wave to them, point to them, and dance (yes dance!) with them. Also something good to do at base, go right to the back and admire the view! It's more beautiful than Rihanna!

STRIKE:

Easily the best part of the game. Team up with other players and fight big boss aliens together! Absorbing and hard. It delivers where the other aspects of the game occasionally fails.

PATROL: Each planet is open for free roaming. Unfortunately we've gone from the best part of the game to the worst. Dull at best. You wander around completing boring side missions given by base. The side missions are dreadful, and as for free roaming on these massive planets. It's a lot of nothing but empty mountains and caves.

I do recommend this game but it doesn't come without huge flaws. Bring on the next lot!

Yes, that is my headline. Because this album, V, is a cross between their 4th album pop genre "Overexposed" and their R&B soul funk in Songs About Jane.

The album kicks off with a poppy disco drive "Maps"; is very good in the verses but messy in the chorus. Catchy song with success on the cards 9/10.

Second is "Animals"; a pop influenced sex drive song, about basically doing it like animals! Find myself singing it all day long! 9.5/10.

Next is R&B ballad "It Was Always You" it's an interesting move for Adam Levine! It comes off pretty well. 8/10.

Track 4- "Unkiss Me" is a mid tempo R&B. 8.5/10.

Followed by "Sugar", a real great song. Very Michael Jackson influenced with the "hoo"s and the chorus. 10/10.

Track 6 "Leaving California" is poor in fairness. Just a filler with a catchy chorus! 7/10.

"In Your Pocket" is a real interesting song with a great chorus and snazzy verses a standout for me 10/10.

"New Love" I don't like AT ALL. I think it's a bland pop song. 4/10.

"Coming Back For You" is another unnecessary filler IMO. 6/10.

"Feelings" is where the album rejuvenates with a finger snapping soul pop song! 9.5/10.

"My Heart Is Open Ft Gwen Stafani" erm no! A pretty ballad but it doesn't suit either Adam or Gwen. If you want a soulful ballad go for "Sad". 6/10.

"Shoot Love" is my favourite! 10/10.m

Track 13 "Sex And Candy" is a really relaxing song and the vocals are excellent on it!! This is so reminiscent of SAJ. 10/10.

"Lost Stars" is a first look at the surely impending Adam Levine solo album. Yes it's good! 9/10.

Go get it! Much to love! Good Job Adam! Let's ignore the others because they now seem irrelevant!

After playing shooters, sports, and free roam games on Xbox One, I decided I wanted a strategy game. I chose "Rayman Legends" and I am not dissatisfied! Let's put this game into perspective then.

It is a 3rd person strategy/combat game.

Movement is limited but easy.

Missions are on average 15 minutes long.

Saving is easy.

Missions are difficult.

Graphics a flawlessly good.

Enemies seem a little incompetent.

Controls are easy.

6 chapters.

Multiple playable characters.

Side missions available. All in all I highly recommend!

An okay album by average singers. Yeah they're popular, but only because girls get wet everytime they see them. No respectable adult should listen to this. (Although the song "Little Things" is lovely). Shhhh don't tell anyone I said that!
