I like cozies, they are one of my favorite winter reads, and this is an okay series. Not great but definitely good enough, serves its purpose quite well. Comfort reading.

The characters are likable, the plot okay, and I like the description of the city this happens in, it's something a bit different - of course I have no idea how accurate this may be, considering this takes place in a real city I have never visited, but a nice departure from the more often encountered an English small town/village or the closest equivalent you can find elsewhere -scenery anyway.

I like elves, but I'm quite tired of the usual Tolkien pastiches. This was something different. Lightweight, but a fun read.

This review is from: Reclaiming The Blade [DVD] (DVD)
This doesn't go all that much in the details, but as a nicely and entertainingly done introduction to the subject I like it. While there is lots, and easy to find, material about the fighting methods developed in places like China and Japan before the advent of firearms, European swordsmen were no sloughs compared to them and we should, perhaps, pay a bit more attention to them too, at least those of us who are among their descendants. Respect your heritage.

Lots of information which is easily found from lots of places, including the web, but at least it's nice to have it all in place.

Interesting new ways to use tarot cards. I like the timing option, haven't tried to use the others - like the yes and no alternative tied to the court cards - yet.

Why four star instead of five? I'm not overly fond of the illustration style.
