This review is from: Neptune's Brood (Kindle Edition)
@cstross Saturns Children was always a tough act to follow but any writer that can turn an accountant into a hero clearly needn't fear that issue. Human evolution, body plans for the choosing, slow money, so want to believe future, damsel in distress (but not so defenseless at all), the story builds like crazy and is over too soon. This is so rich with tech and ideas I will be thinking about it for weeks.

Been waiting for the ultimate solution to headphone cables. I am a big iOS user and these headphones connect to my iPad mini, iPhone 4S and my Macbook Air. Setup is easy and so it connecting. The sound is brilliant and battery life is very good.

Very nice to the touch. My Macbook Air slips in very easily. I also use it to rest my MBA on when its plugged into my Thunderbolt display. This prevents scratches as I would otherwise rest it on the metal base of the display.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent story. A really good take on artificial intelligence and humanities needs and wants., 8 Nov 2012

A fairly traditional intro swiftly turns into a fast paced and engaging read with vN characters that I couldn't help associating with, despite the fact most of the main characters were vN. It explores the darker side of humanity whilst embracing some key questions about civic rights. The tech side of Von Neumann machines, self replication, planetary ecology repair, virtual worlds, drone surveillance were all there, cleverly told through the eyes of a young, but wise vN girl. Full of wonder.

Definitely rates 4 stars.
