It's always fun to read a mystery which is set in an unfamiliar environment. (I like Judge Dee for the same reason).

Cover-Up Sony Reader PRS-T1 / PRS-T2 Leather Cover Case (Book Style) - (Red)

5.0 out of 5 stars Very very nice cover for my Sony eReader, 29 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The cover feels like very high quality and is nice to use. The only thing is that it looks "upside-down" because the clasp is on the back.
The service and delivery was excellent - as always when I shop on Amazon :-)

King's Privateer (Alan Lewrie Naval Adventures)
King's Privateer (Alan Lewrie Naval Adventures)
by Lambdin
Edition: Mass Market Paperback
Price: £5.12

4.0 out of 5 stars Lewrie goes to the east, 25 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Alan Lewrie is sent to the far east on an undercover operation to catch pirates. He is pestered by secret agents even more ruthless than himself, but manages to come out on top (as he always do) and even com away with a bit of illegal wealth.

Oh - did I mention that he meets a few nice ladies.

3.0 out of 5 stars Detective at sea, 25 May 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Convoy (Ned Yorke) (Paperback)
Interesting novel about WWII convoy service. Yorke (whose ancestor Pope has written about earlier) is tasked to find out how a submarine can enter the middle of a convoy despite the modern wonder of technology possessed by the British Navy.

As good as Buccaneer and Admiral, but not as good as the Ramage series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutey indispensable, 27 Jan. 2012
I have used this for a couple of years now and it has paid it self many times.
I start using it before I use a new blade for the first time and for the first month it gets sharper every time. after that it stays sharp for about 5 months. I change the blade every half year - no matter if it is dull or not.
Only problem is it is to large for my backpack, so I cannot take on holiday:-(

The King's Coat (Alan Lewrie Naval Adventures)
The King's Coat (Alan Lewrie Naval Adventures)
by Dewey Lambdin
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting addition to Hornblower and Ramage, 28 Feb. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Alan Lewrie is an interesting character in the pre-Nelson Navy. He doesn't quite have the emotional depth of Hornblower or the sterling qualities of Ramage, but his adventures have a much more saucy quality :-)
