3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, 22 Aug. 2008
This review is from: Live All Over The Place (Audio CD)
I love Kings X, but have never seen them live (have they ever toured the UK?). Not so keen on Bulbous or Ear Candy but early albums and Ogre Tones are ace.

I thought this album would encapsulate good songs in rocking live environment, but found only a few tracks that got me rocking. Production on some is murky, and the expected live excitement doesn't really seem to kick in very often.

If you are new go back to the first few ablums, or Ogre Tones/Dogman. I think this is more for the diehards, or those who have seen the live show?

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 27 May 2008

This is a great album, my favourite. Let's Go to Tahiti, Friday,Thirteen Days, Don't Cry Sister, Sensitive Kind. This was made for CD, 15 years to early. Okay I like JJ,but this to me is the peak. And Eric Clapton hasn't covered a single track of this!

4.0 out of 5 stars Ted rocks on DVD, 6 Jun. 2003
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So he can still cut a dash - Cat Scratch Fever, Stranglehold, and a real live Great White Buffalo (okay it's not white but...).
Many asides of Ted at work and play show just how gonzo the old boy still is. So there are only about two tracks written after 1980 - who wants to hear the mid 80's tosh again anyway?
If you are a fan of the man, go for it. If you've never heard of him this probably isn't for you.
Rock and roll.
