5.0 out of 5 stars Just the ticket!, 15 Dec. 2014

I wish I'd thought of buying this earlier - all the mess and bother of using newspapers under the cats' litter tray and I could have been using this - it's brilliant! Just a quick wipe if any overspill and you're done! And the smell is simply the smell of plastic, nothing bad, and it disappears after a day or so. Very pleased indeed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great tangy flavour, 3 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great tangy flavour, and unlike jams and marmalades made with sugar, no cloying sweetness - you can actually taste the fruit! Looses a star because this batch at least is extremely runny for some reason - it's not usually like this! BTW, it's no longer called "Diabetic Marmalade" - that probably put people off, thinking that it was only for people with diabetes, which it isn't. It's been rebranded as "Reduced Sugar" and is made with fructose. Delicious and highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best cat-scratching post - ever!, 26 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you are considering buying a scratching post for your cat then look no further than this one. I have lost count of the number of posts Iwe have bought over the years for our cats, and every one of them has fallen to pieces within a few months. The most recent one from our pet shop lasted only a few weeks, which was why I looked elsewhere to buy one, and this one has proved to be brilliant. It has been in use now for almost 2 months and as yet looks absolutely pristine, as if it had just come out of the box. Our cat loves it! Only thing I will warn you about is... it is absolutely massive!

EC Archives: Weird Science Volume 4: Weird Science v. 4

Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars New publisher, 7 Dec. 2013
The good news is that Dark Horse publishing has taken over the contract to reprint EC comics from Gemstone, so we should be seeing volume 4 of Weird Science from them in due course.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book, but beware..., 10 Dec. 2008
This is an excellent book, stuffed full of information and photos, but my only concern here is to warn British Beatles fans not to make the mistake that I made. If you already own "Till There Was Music: The Beatles" by Tim Hill (listed on Amazon as "The Beatles: The Complete Story of Four Lads Who Shook the World" by Tim Hill), published in 2007, then you already have this volume too - they're the same book! This is the US edition of the other book. Different cover, different title, same book. Caveat emptor!

5.0 out of 5 stars More hilarious adventures down-under, 22 Oct. 2008
It's been a while now since BBC2 transmitted the third series of this hysterically funny show - it just keeps getting better and better. So.... all we need now is for it to be released on DVD in the UK... PLEASE!! And, while you are about it 2 Entertain, let's have the xmas special "Da Kath and Kim Code" too!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great - but what about the rest of the series!!?, 12 July 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It's all very well releasing the pilot on DVD, but what has happened to the proposed DVD release of series 1? Amazon had volume 1 listed for a while, but then took the listing down. And why can't we have a box set of the whole series, as with Doctor Who and Torchwood? Would someone from the BBC kindly explain what's happening and why we're having to wait so long? The second series will be airing soon!

3.0 out of 5 stars Misogynistic and homophobic, 14 Sept. 2007
This review is from: Tunnels (Tunnels 1) (Paperback)
To give the book its due, this is an imaginative and exciting book, a sort of cross between "Journey to the Centre of the Earth" and "Fungus the Bogeyman" but without the laughs! The authors conjure up an amazing subterranean world, and the society living there is scary and fascinating by turns. The book is very exciting, though its pacing is unusual, since its climax is about two-thirds of the way through. The remaining third of the book seems to exist solely to set up volume two, which we are assured will follow. The only aspects of the book that left a nasty taste were its underlying misogyny and homophobia. The only female characters are a scheming villainess, a lush, and a mother who is a complete waste of space, permanently slumped in front of the TV, while the only gay characters are a mincing queen and a predatory paedophile. Come on guys - this is the 21st century! There's a very old-fashioned flavour to this book which could condemn it to the scrap-heap. Let's hope things improve in volume two.

1.0 out of 5 stars The Missing Episode!!!, 8 Jan. 2007
Now that the BBC have released every existing episode of Hancock's Half Hour on a superb series of 4 DVDs, the time has come to delete this irritating volume and issue a new one containing all 6 episodes of "Hancock". Why the final ever episode, "The Succession", should have been omitted I cannot imagine, but the time has come to rectify this error. My low rating for this package is in no way a relection on the 5 brilliant episodes contained therein, only on the sloppiness of the BBC for leaving one episode off the disc.

And while they're about it, please include as a Bonus Feature on the new "Hancock" DVD the "Face to Face" interview with John Freeman. Some poignant glimpses there into the mind of a troubled comic genius. He was a great comic actor, but his aspirations to be a great comic writer were quite beyond his reach, and this perceived failing brought him great sadness.
