5.0 out of 5 stars For this product I would even pay more!, 11 Jun. 2014
Because we cannot allow slavery in the 21st century! Amazon, pay your workers a decent salary! Oh, and pay your due taxes too! Otherwise, I'll carry on doing my shopping elsewhere.
I have already cut my spending in Amazon to the bare minimum, something Amazon can easily check in their records, something I encourage everybody to do.

EasyN Wireless WIFI IP Camera IR LED 2-Audio Nightvision Black
EasyN Wireless WIFI IP Camera IR LED 2-Audio Nightvision Black

1.0 out of 5 stars Another item returned..., 30 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After fiddling for quite a while with this camera I had to send it back. There was no way to make the wireless work.
There was only one MAC address supplied with the camera. My experience with other models suggests that two MAC addresses are required, one for LAN (cable) connection and another one for the wireless (WAN). This could explain why the camera worked fine when wired, but was unreacheable on the wireless.
I would have contacted the customer service to enquire, but... there was no such service!

1.0 out of 5 stars Good... but only when working!, 23 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What a pity! It could have been such a good modem-router! Unfortunately, it keeps dropping out the connection, so it had to go back.

I actually had seen another review pointing out the same issue, but I thought it would be a one-off problem of an unlucky customer. Now I seriously think it is a "feature" of this model.

Disappointing.

1.0 out of 5 stars A piece of junk, 29 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The wireless stopped working after 2 months. No chance of returning the item, therefore wasted money.

Even when it used to work, most of the time the internal server was too slow. In "alarm" mode, when detecting a movement, it would send a series of pictures. The response was soooo slow that when the first picture was sent, the moving object triggering the alarm was already gone... I checked my wireless signal with other devices (2 laptops and a printer), and at different locations, just to make sure, and the signal was always "very good" or "excellent", so no fault from my router. It's just this little piece of junk.

Don't bother with this camera!

1.0 out of 5 stars Not working at all. XP nor Win7, 26 May 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This product is not worth buying.
It came with a CD with the device drivers, but these were obsolete and didn't work. I downloaded the updated drivers from the manufacturer's website (Prolific), but still didn't work.

I tried the adapter in two different computers, one with XP, the other with Win7. I also tried it with two different peripherals. I know that this peripherals work because I can test them from an RS232 port.

When I checked the Device Manager, it showed "Error code 10". The manufacturer says in their website:

"If you are getting an Error Code 10 with a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager after installing the latest Prolific PL-2303 driver, please contact the cable maker of your product for Prolific chip validity and support. Prolific strongly recommend to only purchase USB-to-Serial cables from company-branded products providing technical support. It is not advisable to buy from unknown cable makers (no-brand cables) made in China. Prolific does not manufacturer any end-product cables and will not provide direct support to end-users. "

Therefore, it seems that the malfunction is associated to the (poor) quality of the cable used in this particular product. Avoid it!

2.0 out of 5 stars A good text, but plagued with errata, 31 Dec. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a good introductory text to GR. The emphasis is on the physics, as highlighted by the fact that the full tensor development is left for Part IV, while parts II and III can be followed without getting bogged down in the maths.
The main problem with this second edition is that it is plagued with errata: missing brackets, wrong signs and misspellings are common. There are also a few cases of incorrect equations. Fortunately, the reader can find an updated list of errata in the author's website at the University of Missouri - St. Louis:
[...]
The list is long enough for me to regret having bought this 2nd edition. I rather had waited to a corrected third edition. I think buyers of the 2nd edition should be offered a refund (or at least a discount) when the 3rd edition is available.
