5.0 out of 5 stars Nice resource, 3 Mar 2013

I'm using this with pupils at a secondary level with reading ages of between 7 and 8 years old. It's a mixture of word searches and comprehension exercises. Find the words with the phonics sounds being practiced, then fit theses words into sentence. A tried and trusted approach the kids seem to enjoy. A great resource to enhance a reading program.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great Dalziel & Pascoe book, 3 Mar 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Midnight Fugue (Kindle Edition)
A good story like all of Reginal Hill books. Although it's another fast paced and funny Dalziel & Pascoe story, this one is more a "Fat Andy" solo effort with Pasco more of an attachment to the investigation. But in his bluff way Andy solves both crimes from the past and present upsetting loads of people on the way. A very satisfying read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story but not a new one, 25 Feb 2013

This story has been part of a compendium of medieval stories I read several years ago. Even though it's a good story it's not a new one so if you are like myself are looking forward to reading a new Brother Athelstan story you will be disappointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does what it says on the tin., 2 Feb 2013

Nice resource to help children form letters and learn joined up writing. The tried and trusted join the dots is great. Personally I wish schools still taught printing first, so pupils at had a full understanding of letter forms but if pupil use this system to master writing their written work will be readable and neat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, 2 Feb 2013

A fantastic resource to teach reading. I use it for one to one reading intervention with pupils aged 11 to 13. It is written for slightly younger children but that hasn't been a problem. We have a little one of 3 years old in the family who is already starting reading using the early steps, mainly while helping (?) me get my lessons prepared! She loves it and will be reading long before she starts school.
