3.0 out of 5 stars Terrible editing, 11 Jan 2014

I am enjoying the story. However I am driven to distraction by the words used in the wrong context break / brake or words that sound similar but are not even close. e.g. finely instead of finally. It seems like whoever typed it up for the ebook version did it through audio and didn't proof read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good story, 24 Feb 2013

I really enjoyed this. The writing conjured up the Victorian atmosphere really well, especially the house and the marshes. Although the ending was predictable it didn't spoil my enjoyment at all.

3.0 out of 5 stars ok to pass the time, 9 Dec 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I'm sorry, I cannot see how other reviewers have all given 5 stars. The story could have been ok. But it jumped weirdly, strands of story seemed to just disappear half way through, or there was a sudden introduction of a character as if they had been there all along.

Lots of potential unrealised.

5.0 out of 5 stars wxcellent, 6 July 2011

all songs are really well written, funny, catchy. Unlike most albums you will find it becomes a favourite straightaway. You'll find yourself randomly hip meddowing!

2.0 out of 5 stars Hard going..., 22 Oct 2004
This review is from: Deception Point (Paperback)
I normally whizz through books. This took me weeks to read. i even read a different book in the middle and it was only because I had nothing to read i picked it up again.
It was the same old story as the others and ends the same. This time though the action scenes just bored me.

4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable holiday read, 22 Oct 2004
This review is from: Angels And Demons (Paperback)
Again quite enjoyable, slow going in parts, unbelievable in others, especially the mad priest and Robert Langdon must be the luckiest man in literature to escape death so many times. It's a really lame ending and the final line of the book will make you want to be sick. If you've read any of the other book by Dan Brown you'll know the hero always gets the girl.

3.0 out of 5 stars OK but..., 22 Oct 2004
I did really enjoy the book, The story kept me turning the pages. But I felt really cheated and disappointed at the end and couldn't help but feel I must have missed something. Ok holiday read but not the fantastic, astounding blah blah you read about in some newspapers book reviews.
