5.0 out of 5 stars Really Enjoyable, 12 May 2015

If you're looking for an enjoyable way to unwind, mixed with some logical thinking, then you'll probably want to play this in Zen mode. No time limit, no stress, just solve the puzzle.

Alternatively you can use the timer if you want a little more excitement.

A very nice little game and a credit to the developers for making the file size so small, and the game ad free and not constantly nagging for money as so many games seem to do nowadays.

I love it and maybe you will too. Definitely a keeper.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little game, 7 May 2015

Easy to pick up, and gradually gets trickier as you go. You'll think several times you have no chance of winning and then suddenly turn the whole game around. Very clever stuff for such a small game.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buggy, Paid Version Sends You Spam, 21 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I really like these kinds of games and I'm happy that there are several to choose from on the Amazon app store now. Pretty as this one is, it isn't the best example as there are a few bugs you have to deal with, such as tapping an item and having nothing happen. It's also often slow and seems to hang for 20-30 seconds before continuing. I suspect this is due to the app performing some kind of network activity under the covers.

The game also seems to be unnecessarily complicated for its type, with random ghosts and burglars appearing. There really wasn't any need to include those and they detract from the game play.

Finally and unfortunately, today, as I completed each level I was treated to buggy spam with buttons on a mostly black screen, urging me to get another one of their free apps. As I'd paid for the upgrade to this app, and the app that I was being offered isn't anything like this one, that was a very bad move by the developers. Being spammed mid-game is always going to be badly received especially when it's been paid for. I don't believe that most people would be too bothered with an ad on exit, but in-game is just too much.

So starting with 5 stars, 2 are removed due to bugs, and 1 removed for in-game spam in the upgraded paid version.

If you're looking for a game like this, then try Royal Envoy or My Kingdom For The Princess. They are both exceptionally good examples of the genre. You might also like the Farm Frenzy 3 games and Fishers Family Farm, all a little bit different to these, but the same kind of enjoyment. All of the games I've mentioned above are extremely polished and work well on the Kindle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Spam, FaceBook, and In-app Purchasing, 21 July 2014

This app gets 1 star as it has 2 detestable features. FaceBook and in-app purchasing. Add to those that I was constantly spammed within another game I'd already purchased to come and get this app and you have the perfect storm. If you feel like I do about spam, then please rate this app accordingly.

A message to the developers. Spamming within an app is exactly the same as sending me unsolicited email. Even though there isn't a law against it (yet) there should be. Please have some self restraint and don't spam people, especially within paid apps, it creates a LOT of bad will.

You have be logged in to their site otherwise you can't save. Oh come on! Do we really need another data mining app? While most people don't care about their privacy, there's still millions of us who do.

Avoid this one. And any other app or service that wants to know all about your life and 'friends' for no reason that's good enough to make sense.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best in Class so far, 10 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've tried several other alarm clock apps and they all need the Kindle Fire HD to have the power plugged in otherwise they drain the battery. At last I have this which has no such requirements. It will go to sleep with the Kindle and wake up when it's time to sound the alarm.

It runs multiple alarms, repeats, etc and has plenty of options.

Unlike with most developers there's an email address you can contact them on.

Great stuff. I'm very pleased with it.

Farm Frenzy 3: Ice Domain
Farm Frenzy 3: Ice Domain
Price: £1.27

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb Time Management Game, 1 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Farm Frenzy 3: Ice Domain (App)
This is totally addictive, and probably the most challenging of the Farm Frenzy 3 games. If you've not played any of these before, then it would make sense to get Farm Frenzy 3 first, then Farm Frenzy 3 American Pie, and finally this one.

With all of the games you get a nice easy start with increasing levels of difficulty, and what's particularly nice is you can always complete the level so you can move onto the next one. You never get totally stuck.

The goals are very simple. Complete all the tasks in the allotted time.

The faster you do it gives you silver and gold awards, and because you never get stuck, if a level is too challenging then you can move onto the next one and go back to it later.

As you work your way through the game, you earn stars which you can use to upgrade your abilities in game.

It's just a ton of fun! ;-)

3.0 out of 5 stars Kookie needs to learn the rules of grammar, 19 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My 9 year old enjoyed this and we both listened to it using the Kindle Fire HD text-to-speech. However, after we had read along to it, she pointed out the grammatical errors such as question marks outside of double quotes and missing full stops.

Ten minutes in the hands of an experienced proof reader or editor would have caught these.

Still a nice little 5 minute read.

Yet another so called app... Whose only function is in effect a bunch of links to websites via a built in browser. Really? Oh come on! It may as well be a web page full of links. Does this really deserve to be called an app?

No.

1.0 out of 5 stars Google No!, 14 July 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Splashtop Remote Desktop HD (App)
Yet another app that needs Google account details.

This has to stop. There is absolutely no reason that Google, Facebook, Twitter, or any other social network should be involved in an app of this kind.

Connecting machines can be easily achieved with nothing more than the IP address and they know it.

So why is a Google account required? Google are just an advertising company and the more they're out of our lives the better.
