5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent !, 26 Sept. 2010
Just excellent : if you are looking for a book on exotic from a trader perspective you got it ! And it's not just about Exotic.: it describes very well the logic behind models and how any trader has to use shortcuts to price and identify risks at first sight. My first book on iPad !

5.0 out of 5 stars THE MAGIC OF CDS, 9 April 2010
Fantastic book : how to leverage the biggest bubble ever and make billions of dollars against the banks! It was from Inventing Money that I haven't found a book like this. Spending last week in Bahamas, drinking Cuba Libre and reading this book was the most sensational experience ever :-) . A must reading !

4.0 out of 5 stars YOU HAVE TO READ IT !, 21 May 2009
I'm a volatility trader; mostly 8 years involved in the business. Many times I found many books on vol really boring and useless : this one is an exception. Really good for market making and prop trading activity , less for flow business.

3.0 out of 5 stars Some Helpful Suggestions, 23 Aug. 2002
Well, I think there's a lot of difference between fund managers and stocks traders: inside the book there isn't. Anyway, an helpful reading about the strategy when you wanna buy stocks. In specific, impressed me the phrase "it's not important hom many times you win or you lose, but how much". Think about it!

Have you never heard of the arbitragist Ivan Boesky, the king of Junk Bonds Michael Milken, the goldenboy Martin Siegel, and other characters of Wall Street in '80? If not, think to buy this book seriously... a wonderful parodia of the world of investment banking written by a master of financial journalism, James Stewart (Wall Street Journal and Smartmoney.com).

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Book about Trading, 13 Aug. 2002
I've never read a book like this: it seems to stay with the guys of Salomon in the same trading floor, to breath their air and to listen their voice. John Meriwether is described like a mithology character such as John Gutfreund. Everybody wants to work in investment bank should read this book: actually, it's compelling for everyone wants to work as trader.
