5.0 out of 5 stars A 'must buy' for ALL activity co-ordinators, carers and anyone working with people living with Dementia, 7 July 2010
This is an evidence based programme that has been proven to effectively improve cognition and quality of life. The days are gone when we believed that a diagnosis of dementia meant there was nothing we could do.
I am a registered Mental Nurse and I have seen this programme improve quality of life and cognition time and again. Whether you work with people with dementia in the community or in Residential or day centre settings this manual gives you the tools to run an effective therapy programme. It is simple to follow, doesn't need a huge amount of resources and is a lot of fun. The manual includes a record keeping form to use after every session which helps you to record participation, mood communication etc and is really handy to influence further sessions.
