3.0 out of 5 stars high price, average quality, 20 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Vax or Dyson? Well this is my first vax after a long association with Dyson and i'm going back to them. This vacuum is not worth the rrp by any stretch.
The problems are numerous.

The quality of the tools is nothing special. They simply push on rather than click on like dyson and in use detach or come loose. The turbo tool is especially prone to this. Speaking of which it easily stalls on carpets and isn't particularly any more effective.

The main hose is of cheap plastic, quite stiff and yet collapses easily if bent. My dyson products hoses are flexible with reinforcement rings.

The coupling to the main unit is stiff and awkward to remove.

Despite supplying numerous tools no soft brush is included, given the price i expected one. Storage for the extra tools? None.

Upsides? Quiet motor.

Overall a cheaper make would be just a good or save up and buy a dyson.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best 4 Bay NAS, 13 Aug 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very fast, quiet, expandable, easy to setup, excellent software interface.
Comes with a DDNS name for easy internet access, ie: http//yourname.synology.me
Overall superb if a little expensive but then again quality costs to have over 100mb/s read AND write speeds.
Only thing missing is a video transcode function.

Fits well and would seem to offer a fair bit of protection but I think on balance a cheaper rubberised gel type one would give the same shock protection if dropped but I'm not going to try it to find out!

Clearblue Advanced Fertility Monitor Kit

3.0 out of 5 stars Gimmick?, 5 Aug 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
The RRP is far too high for what this actually does. I get the impression clearblue are cashing in on couples desperate to conceive. Regardless the unit itself is small and reasonably well constructed but nothing special. It certainly doesn't feel like a premium product. As for effectiveness there seems to be equal numbers who think it doesn't work and I'm feeling for the most part the kit is a gimmick and should not be used as a fix for not conceiving, it's more of a rough guide IMO.

1.0 out of 5 stars Overpriced and Underwhelming, 29 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
So 1 star......don't do this often but I feel completely justified.
This is billed as a top of the range all singing router. Open WRT firmware, exceptional wifi range etc etc.
Well.....
Compared to my ASUS N66U the WRT1900AC is absolutely dreadful. I don't care about the looks, I don't care about the size, I don't even think I'd care about the price if it actually worked.
Wifi range measured lower than the ASUS in all the locations I tried ( same room, next room, 2 rooms away, garden) on both 2.4 & 5ghz bands.
Testing download speeds using Thinkbroadband and Speedtest.net showed the ASUS N 5ghz wifi to be twice the speed of the WRT AC band. Same room ASUS 150mbps connection - 73mbps download, WRT 200 to 433mbps connection (it varied) - 35mbps. Consistently, repeatedly using my Sony Z2 tablet which is AC enabled. My Samsung Galaxy revealed little difference and LAN to LAN speeds were unchanged.
There is NO open firmware for this product either despite Belkins claims.
Quite how Linksys can justify the £100 markup on it's rivals I can't begin to imagine.
Netgear Nighthawk R700 or ASUS AC68U are better buys for those who need AC wifi.

2.0 out of 5 stars Flawed, 29 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
On the face of it this is a very good light. Made from aluminium it feels like a quality item. The light output is surprisingly bright and having the top plate angled down to increase solar capture is a nice touch. It uses lithium batteries not the usual NiMh in cheaper units.
However.....
The mounting bracket is a small plastic affair which doesn't even have the holes already made in it. No fittings came with the light and considering the cost, the slide on/off nature of the bracket is just inviting casual theft. It remains to be seen how the plastic holds up to cold weather. I do wonder about the lithium batteries too, they aren't replaceable. Perhaps quality NIMH would have been a better option?
Doesn't stay lit for long either, charged all day in sunlight - lasted 3 hours.

At the current cost this is quite an oversight. Overall needs a better bracket, better battery and an antitheft feature

4.0 out of 5 stars one minor flaw, 29 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Heavy and well made. Feels like it will last for years. Just can't complain really except for one little thing which is the handle ought to be textured to aid grip. Slightly sweaty hands make it slippery to hold due to the highly polished nature of the stapler.

3.0 out of 5 stars Needs an upgrade to attain greatness, 23 July 2014
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Western Digital are a name well known in the hard drive market and so it's no surprise they should have released this line of products. The unit is stylish and very well constructed. The software interface is a joy to use, simply laid out and not overly complicated. Setting up was simple.
Quite obviously this product is aimed at the first time and experienced NAS buyer who wants to network their data but not be too concerned with port forwarding and raid levels etc.
To that end it does it's job perfectly. Drive installation is easy. The feature set is excellent. Dual power, Dual LAN, USB 3. LCD display. All good things. A real winner............ but there is ONE niggle.

Network access speed is a little on the low side. 40mb/s writes is way below what a device of this quality and price should be offering considering the WD RED NAS HDD's included.

It is a real shame WD chose to use a single core CPU and have crippled what could have been the deal of the year. Put a dual core in like the Synology DS414 and WD would have a storming product.

3.0 out of 5 stars battery life :(, 23 July 2014

Fun little toy this! The spare blades where a good send. Reasonably easy to fly too. Shame the battery life is short and the recharge is too long otherwise a 4*
