5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping Read., 6 July 2016

This fast-paced crime thriller follows CSM Cass and Detective Alex as they begin investigating the murder of a woman. This is an entertaining, serial killer, investigative novel, that culminates in a whirlwind of heart pounding action. An excellent stroke to the novel is the love element that makes it all the more gripping. I look forward to reading further works in this series, in the near future.

5.0 out of 5 stars I loved this book., 8 Jun. 2016
I'm thrilled to say that I loved this book. It is gripping, fast paced and I love the main character Erica. I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good police procedural full of characters that feel real. The short chapters keep the reader flying through the story. It is well written, well ended and is full of action. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

DA is a fast paced, gripping, crime thriller. A serial killer is on the loose. This killer not only brings death to the victims, the bodies are brutalised in an unimaginable way. The lead investigator on the case, McCloud, investigates with policewoman Jacqui. This book is a great read if you love a great serial killer thriller. It didn't disappoint and I look forward to reading more work by this author.

If fast paced crime action is what you're after then this book will not disappoint. I loved the chapters that took me into the killer's life as much as the investigative chapters. I found protagonist, DI Geraldine to be likeable and enjoyed following the various elements of her life too. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future.

The Perfectionist
The Perfectionist

5.0 out of 5 stars Real and Gritty, 19 Jan. 2016
This review is from: The Perfectionist (Kindle Edition)
Gerry, a journalist from a small town is part of the scene when a human head is discovered close by. Not wanting to ruin his low crime rate, the sheriff covers up the crime and they all continue as normal.

Years later, while Gerry is working as a hot-shot business journalist in the city, his past comes back to bite him in the form of an attractive woman called Sarah. Sarah is investigating her grandfather's disappearance and uses Gerry's knowledge of the cover-up to get him to assist her. While investigating, Gerry is entangled in a story that's set to be huge. He unravels a spate of killings that have taken place over many years, even up to the present. As he gets closer to the truth his affections for Sarah grow.

The Perfectionist is an epic feeling, crime investigation novel. It spans many years and follows the gathering of evidence intricately. The characters are real and gritty, and the story is dark and compelling. If you are a crime novel fan, this book is a must. It also has a 'killer' ending with more than a couple of well laced surprises.

Excellent read, telling of a five week tour of New Zealand. The narrator's wit and voice keep this travel journal moving at a fast pace. I read it in two sittings. Lovely photos too. It's certainly made me want to go and visit this wonderful country. A must read for anyone who is travelling/considering a trip to New Zealand.

I loved the first person voices of Oakley and Cole, and reading as their relationship developed. I only have one minor gripe and that is the conclusion. However, it's minor as there is a sequel to the book which I'm looking forward to reading. I found the story and writing engaging and read it in two sittings. I'd definitely read more of this author's work and would recommend it.

Such a thought provoking book written from the perspective of 10 year old Billy. The story shows the complex turmoil, and development of shame surrounding child abuse.
