Red Dwarf III - Backwards [VHS]
Red Dwarf III - Backwards [VHS]

5.0 out of 5 stars the arrival of the new look red dwarf brilliant!!!!!!!!, 26 Nov 2003
Red dwarf 3 signals two important things, firstly a new look to the already great series, and secondly Kryten returns. On this tape are the episodes Backwards, Marooned and Polymorph.
Backwards contains some brilliant trick photography and some excellent dialogue. In marooned Lister and Rimmer crash land and Lister is forced to eat dog food to survive. Last but not least is Polymorph the best episode in series 3 by far.
The shrinking boxers scene enough said.
buy it now!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Three of the best red dwarf episodes ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 18 Nov 2003
The second tape and the last three episodes of series 2.
Stasis Leak, Queeg and Parallel Universe these 3 episodes are hilarious and i would find it hard to single one out as my favourite. In Stasis Leak the dwarfers find a way to go 3 million years back in time, before the crew were wiped out.
Queeg is a complete scream and Parallel Universe is worth watching just for the tongue tied song alone. Imagine a pregnant Lister, a female holly and a dog. Watch these episodes and if you have never seen Red Dwarf before you will see why so many people have enjoyed and still enjoy watching this now classic comedy sci fi. MARVELLOUS!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars The next installment of this amazing sci fi comedy, 18 Nov 2003
With Red Dwarf now firmly established we are given the second series. The first three episodes of series 2 Kryten, Better Than Life and Thanks For The Memory. These 3 episodes have a great mix of gags and one liners. In Kryten we are introduced to the series 4000 mechanoid and he joins the crew. It`s a shame that he disappears at the end of this episode but thankfully he returns in series 3. WE ARE NOT ON THE PULL ! one of the best gags in this episode and others which i won`t spoil for anyone who hasn`t seen this tape before. In Thanks for the Memory we see that Lister really does care about Rimmer and in Better than Life we see just how warped Rimmer`s mind really is. An excellent tape and a good way to continue where series 1 left off. BUY IT !!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Red Dwarf the best comedy programme ever ?, 18 Nov 2003
The second tape and the last 3 episodes of series 1, is ok and again i prefer the original versions. The episodes are Confidence and Paranoia, Waiting for God, and ME 2 . Out of all the episodes in series 1, i prefer the first three but this tape is not to be missed. My favourite episode on this tape is Waiting for God as it explains what happened to the rest of the cat race. And the idea that Lister is the cat race`s god is just laughable. A nice way to round of the series and the horror of two Rimmer`s is also funny. An allround excellent start to one of the best programmes that has ever been made, nothing else comes close to Red Dwarf, buy them all NOW!!!!!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars the begining of possibly the best comedy program ever !!!!!!, 18 Nov 2003
I have been a fan of Red Dwarf for a number of years now, so i thought i would write a review. I don`t have a problem with the remastered versions of series 1 to 3 but in my opinion the original versions of these three series is what red dwarf is all about. The byte 1 tape contains the first three episodes, The End, Future Echoes and Balance of Power. My personal favourite on this tape is Future Echoes and it is also my favourite episode in the first series. Some of the conversations between Lister And Rimmer are hilarious. If you want my advice try to get hold of the original tapes, although they have been deleated for a number of years they are fairly easy to come across, if you know where to look !!!
