5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant stuff., 25 Sep 2003
I am so glad that the BBC has released this little treasure on DVD. I used to sit down on a Sunday tea-time and avidly watch this with my family.
All I remeber (I was very small at the time) was how wonderful it all was that some children could find a new world out the back of an old warderobe.
This DVD is an absolute must for all collections and I think it appeals to all, good clean family viewing which will be watched over and over again whether you are 5 or 105.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 13 Sep 2003
This review is from: Going Solo (Paperback)
This book is brilliant, it is full of useful tips and quotes from real women who have travelled and backpacked the globe over.
There are many helpful tips about how to stay safe, how to make friends with the locals and using transport. There are tips about all different countries from Australia to Zaire which were all presented in a way which were easy to read and take in.
This is a great travel companion for all women out there who are going or thinking about going it alone. This is one of those books to read on the plane, pencil in notes when you get there and to pass on to someone else when you have finished.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the best films I have seen, 16 Jun 2003
This review is from: Go Toward The Light [DVD] (DVD)
This film is amazing, it is so touching and moving a real tearjerker.
When I first saw it I cried from nearly beginning to end. This film really gets you and tugs hard at the old heartstrings.
Its is basically about the plight of a young boy who has contracted AIDs and follows through from his diagnosis to the day he dies.
I am not joking, you will need a box of tissues while watching this film. It will make grown men cry.
All I can say is, buy this film, it is worth the money.

5.0 out of 5 stars All good things come in small packages, 12 Jun 2003
And this is certainly true of this pocket sized marvel, it may be small but they definitely didn't scrimp on features, in fact the only thing they scrimped on is the price - what a fab piece of kit. The same size as a packet of fags but more fun and it won't kill you - unless you start to film the sea on the edge of the cliff and the wind picks up.
I got mine through the post this morning from and just had to review it.
The pictures quality are second to none and you can get some absolutly brill video footage (Especially good for filming unsuspecting victims who could pay you to delete them from its memory - the camera would pay for itself in no time!)
It has a good zoom feature and some great software bundled in too. This camera is going to be a great asset to many a party - especially for the morning after the night before, I can already predict some great pictures are going to happen. Oh and you get a handy strap and camera bag too.
Girls, this would make a fantastic prezzie for the man in your life, all this gadgetry will leave him with a great big grin on his face. You can also use it to humiliate him when he has annoyed you by sending all his mates video footage of whatever? Revenge is sweet!
Its small enough to slip in a pocket or handbag so all I can say is buy this camera now, you will not be dissapointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb....., 1 Jun 2003
This ultimate edition is really worthy of its name. You get 2 DVD discs of absolute gold which will appeal to Cats fans and first time viewers.
I bought the video when it first came out but decided to upgrade to the DVD version for the quality aspect, I was not dissapointed.
You get the production on the first disc which is much better on this format as you hear little noises that were not picked up on the video.
On the second disc you get the "making of Cats" featurette which goes backstage to talk to the cast and the creators. You also get a short make up demo from the make up artist from the theatre and fantastic interviews with Andrew Lloyd Webber, Gillian Lynne, Cameron Makentosh, John Napier, Trevor Nunn and Gerry Schoenfield.
Now that the London production has closed this is the sedond best way to enjoy it in all its glory.
This is a must buy item which will be watched many times over.

5.0 out of 5 stars This DVD is f*****g hilarious..., 7 April 2003
...Ozzy is mad, his wife is mad, his kids are mad and thedogs are insane. If you didn't catch the series on TV this is a must have and if you did it then you have gotta get it cos it is absolutley class.
The fight with the neighbours is a piece of pure comedy which never fails to make me laugh.
The extras are excellent and the episodes are classic.
Buy it, what ever you do buy it now!!!!!
