5.0 out of 5 stars At last it's hard!, 1 Jun. 2008
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
I was starting to get bored of picking my favourite team (West Brom) every season and within a few years win the Champs League, this version is a LOT more realistic and a lot harder.

As long as you keep the engine up to date (You can get patches for that) it is extremely realistic, some games just don't go your way no matter what you do, it's frustrating but it happpens in real life, in the old games if you got tactics and players right you always won.

It is hard to buy World Class stars, but only VERY poor players need to do that, the challenge is over a longer term, developing younger players while mantaining success in the short term.

Overall had it from day one and stil laddicted, playeed as so many clubs and in so many different ways and always challenging.

5.0 out of 5 stars A change in an unexpected direction., 7 Nov. 2007
This is a totally different style to what we have all been used to from A7X. However after a few listens thinking "What have they done!" I realised it had grown on me massively.

Yes it's a change, but it is stil la fantastic album, just not what was expected by any means. I myself even love 'Lost' yes the synthesised vocals are a strange step but the song is a belter, the guitar work is excellent as expected really.

A little Piece of Heaven is also.. Well.. Different, but works very well, and shows A7X's diversity which no band should ever be moaned at for.

Overall, if yo want to listen to a good album from a very talented band you can't go wrong here... However if your were expecting anew City Of Evil , prepare to be dissapointed, but listen to it with a different expectation and it will work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply Amazing Album, 28 May 2007
This review is from: A Beautiful Lie (Audio CD)
I bought this after a few friends recomended it. Being into all forms of guitar music from emo-pop through to Death Metal I listened to it with an open mind and without even knowing who the lead singer was.

Quite simply first listen I was amazed at the quality and talent shown here. Jareds voice is simply awesome and the songs are excellently written and polished right the way through.

Starting with "Attack" a song that just reeks power and get's you really excited straight away. Then the album does soften up a bit throughout the next couple of tracks with "The Kill" being a really (I hate this tag.) EMO song but you realise then just how awesome this guys voice is and that's not going onto the tunes themselves which are awesome. Then after a couple of great 'filler' tracks you get "From Yesterday" Quite possibly already one of my favourite songs of all time. His voice throughout the song is amazing, from the soft melodic verses to the screaming choruses where he really does seem to sing his heart out and after a few listens you will probably do so to. A song that really lifts your spirits and get's your heart and soul going.

The album ends on a softer note and as soon as the last note is rung you want to hit the repeat button to go through it all again.

So I would recommend anyone who likes rock music buys this album, yes in parts it's EMO but don't let that hinder you. I promise, if you like soaring vocals, well written songs and music that really makes you feel what the singer seems to be, you won't go wrong with this album.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first but still excellent., 13 Oct. 2006
This review is from: Empire (Audio CD)
Listened to the album several times now and I have to say that it is an excellent album that would grace anyones collection. BUT it is not as good as their first overall. That was inevitable though, their first was unique, a sound that no-one could match and if they had tried to do the same again then this album would be poorer for it. Personally I think Empire is the best song Kasabian have done (personal taste not critique taste.) So, buy this labum you won't regret it but please don't compare it to their first because you will ruin it.
