3.0 out of 5 stars Nice little case - with the emphasis on the little, 3 July 2014
Nice little case - with the emphasis on the little. My Coolpix fitted in a little too snuggly meaning the zip caught the edge body of the camera removing the coating every time put the camera in and out.

3.0 out of 5 stars Did provide good lumbar support and meant, 3 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Didn't give as much relief to tailbone as I had hoped or it could or should have on a long coach journey across Europe... actually, very little! Did provide good lumbar support and meant, other than the agonising tailbone, the lower back was actually fine.

Great little rucksack with a deceiving amount of space compared to how it looks.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another one for the Re-read list, 7 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It is not often one reads a novel actually written by someone you know so it was with some trepidation that I purchased 'The Bone Thief' at the local launch of the book last year and took it home to read. Would I like it? What if I don't like it? What if it is mediocre? What if I hate it? What if I didn't like the period it was set in? Well, I didn't really have to worry.

From what I felt was a bit of a slow start with the hints of the political machinations and plots to come it rose to a bit of a roller coaster read of twists and some unexpected turns which left me reading to the early hours of the morning wanting to know what was going to happen next. The slow, or should I now more correctly say, gentle start cleverly allows the reader to get to know and empathise with Wulfgar as he sets out on his journey to Bardney. As the novel proceeds the atmosphere darkens and the pace quickens and leaves you wondering whether the 'gentle' Wulfgar is actually up to the task of retrieving St Oswald's bones.

This lovely book has joined the ranks of my (every once in a while)re-read list alongside the likes of 'Lord of the Rings', 'Black Beauty', early 'Discworld' novels and Sanderson's 'Mistborn Trilogy'. It has even joined the very few novels that I also have in eBook format for the Kindle as well as real good old fashioned books!

Looking forward to learning more about Wulfgar and his adventures in the next book, 'The Traitors' Pit'.
