My eggs are beautifully sliced.
Build quality is not exactly premium, but it fits any size of egg I could throw at it - no, I haven't tried ostrich, emu or cassowary. Strictly chicken eggs only. If I get hold of a goose egg I'll be sure to update you on how it performs.

3.0 out of 5 stars Shallow, but enjoyable, 13 Jun 2012

This review is from: Fallen Dragon (Kindle Edition)
Some nice concepts, but shallow characters and some puzzling plot choices ultimately left this flat.
Having read the VOID series I was tempted into another Hamilton, hoping for a gutsy read. The universe was well conceived and had some nice touches - other reviews mention the corporate structure and unpleasant effects of weightlessness.

When it came to the crunch there were just too many puzzling choices in the methods the rebel group used to achieve their objectives.

Enjoyable, but empty of a "big" idea - especially in the context of VOID, or Banks's Culture novels.

***SPOILERS***

SO they can control SKIN - why not kill the lot of them and complete the mission for the Fallen Dragon
So they have Prime - why do any sabotage, mining games, killing folks and keep everything under wraps until it was too late?

Finally, the fact that the dragon was exactly what it said it was, was a little disappointing - a great twist at the end would have made it much more impactful - but the end game just played out exactly as expected with no real surprises.
