2.0 out of 5 stars OK in places, 19 Nov 2014
This review is from: The Confession (Kindle Edition)
A long book with an important message. However some descriptions and passages are long and superfluous. This causes the story to drag on in places. The author should consider an edited version.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good bag - Lots of compartments - Tablet pocket is not big enough, 17 Oct 2014

A good bag. Nearly everything fits well and there are a lot of compartments. The only slight downside is that the tablet pocket is not big enough to take my iPad when it's in its protective case.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do not buy this rubbish, 15 Aug 2014
I'm on the 2nd one in a day. I exchanged it because when printing on glossy photo paper it would always leave a smudge, every single time. I cleaned the heads over and over. I wasted most of the ink on test runs. It has cost me a lot in terms of glossy photo paper. It has wasted what would have been a productive day.

This product is complete and utter rubbish. Do not go near it.

A heavy, stylish fan. Clicks occasionally. I recommend an electrician to fit it and you may need a joist to be reinforced. The remote control works really well. This fan is not compatible with the Westinghouse wall control.

3.0 out of 5 stars It's "OK", 19 July 2014
Some of the characters are weak and forgettble. There are quite a few clichés and the plot is not that believable. But as a light read and a bit of escapism, it's OK.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book, 21 May 2014

This book would not let me put it down towards the end. Well written and keeps you engaged with the central theme of a girl with amnesia.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good escapism, 9 April 2014

A well constructed story, gripping in places. The characters are really brought to life (no pun intended!). And, as you might expect, there are plenty of twists.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good towards the end but drawn out overall, 20 Mar 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The book was 'OK'(ish) but would have been better if the middle section hadn't been so drawn out. The excessive baby talk and rambling passages make this such a chore to read. The film of the original wasn't that impressive, and the lack of depth in the characters carries over to this second book in the series.

If you're seeking gutsy confrontation between Andy and Miranda (which was after all the unique selling point of the film) then you will be sorely disappointed. And like the film, I think this book is trying to piggyback on "Sex & The City" (!) but doesn't even come close to evoking the same level of connection with the characters and stories.

So if you're looking for some fluff, have low expectations and can pick this up for 99p for your Kindle then go ahead. It is what it is.

4.0 out of 5 stars Surprisingly good everyday read, 20 Jan 2014
This book is well worth a read. Decent plot and easy to pick up and resume after a break. Set in the 80s it adds an extra twist being in the pre-smartphone era.

Ideal for those situations where you don't want to have to keep switching a light on/off. Particularly handy as a night light.

Looks reasonably smart too.
