Ghost – Staphanie Rowe

Anyone familiar with Stephanie Rowe’s work will already be familiar with the amount of description she adds to her characters to make them leap from the page and into the imagination of the reader. This novel is no different. The storyline is gripping from the get-go and I found that I had to carry on reading to see why things were happening.

Aside from the lead characters, the background is filled with interesting people I hope appear in books of their own soon. The Alaskan setting makes me want to pack my bags and move there.

An addictive page turning, or clicking in my case, read which will keep you hooked until the very end – then if you’re like me, you’ll hop onto the internet to find the next book and sulk for a while when it doesn’t exist yet.

This book is part of the ‘Alaska Heat’ series but can be read as a stand alone novel. With my personal opinion giving it a five out of five score I’d recommend this book as definitely worth purchasing.

4.0 out of 5 stars A new author with a new style and is definitely worth reading..., 18 July 2014

Although the writing style is unusual the underpinning story makes the whole reading process more than worth while.

With thoroughly entertaining scenarios an characters you will fall in love with, this novel is a fantastic read for fans of sci-fi, romance or the paranormal. An `out of this world' novel by a new author who obviously puts his imagination to amazing use when transferring the written word to the page - allowing us all access to a complex and detailed world.

I wouldn't want to give the story away by adding to the more than adequate book description so I will just add that the book is full of twists and unexpected turns that will keep the reader turning the page - or in this case, clicking next page.

Easily read as a stand alone novel this book has clearly been written as the start of an enthralling and nail-biting series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A depth of detail that allows the characters to leap from the page and into the imagination of the readers...., 13 July 2014

Christina Skye has never disappointed me with her ability to convey such depth of emotion, meaning and suspense into her written works. This book is no exception as it continues the Draycott Abbey series with phenomenally twisting plots.

I loved it! The book description adequately describes the story and anyone interested in the unusual, suspenseful, romantic or paranormal will be happily entertained by this book.

Easily fluid and with a depth of detail that allows the characters to leap from the page and into the imagination of the readers, this book is at the top of my ‘must keep forever’ list.

It isn’t everyday that you come across a reader that not only resides forever on my Kindle, but that I would then go any purchase the paperback/hardback for my shelves.

Keep them coming Christina Skye – I’m loving them!

Blind Seduction: Team Red, Book 1

5.0 out of 5 stars This story pulls you along and keeps you fully involved in the outcomes of each of the main characters., 13 July 2014

Blind Seduction is awesome! This novel is the first I have read by this author and I would definitely look for others in this series.

As the first book of the ‘Team Red’ series this book stands alone as an individual – satisfactory ending book. For any reader who detests books that leave you guessing, without a ending insight, this book gives you exactly what you want with the addition of possibly more.

The book description explains the backbone of the novel but does not suggest the depth and enticement of the writing. This story pulls you along and keeps you fully involved in the outcomes of each of the main characters.

I believe myself to have my feet firmly set on the ground, but can’t help wishing that somewhere in the world this could happen.

5.0 out of 5 stars More emotional than the others in this series..., 13 July 2014

How does Eve Langlais keep this imagination in her head without it leaking into reality – she puts it on paper and allows us to view the results!

Wonderful; this series has been an ultimate entertainment source and this, book 3 in the series, does not let the reader down.

Muriel is wonderful, entertaining and phenomenally addictive; her interactions between other characters in the book – her urge to kill her mother amongst others are amazing.

The book description explains the story fully, so I will just say that anyone having already read Eve Langlais novels will adore this latest instalment. Others new to Langlais will not be disappointed – if the book description catches you eye or takes your fancy, give it a try.

So very worth the risk of getting addicted to her novels!

4.0 out of 5 stars Let your mind wander without the emotional attachment of some books..., 13 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Short and somewhat predictable in places, this book is entertainment without the twists of other historical romances.

I enjoyed the book, the story flowed nicely – taking the reader on a historically accurate trip through the rites of monetary ownership and woman’s place within the times.

Rowena is fantastically portrayed and the interactions depicted with Saher are wonderfully and passionately written.

This book is definitely worth reading as it allows for an entertaining read while letting the mind wander free.

4.0 out of 5 stars Part of a collection and leaves you wanting to what happens next., 13 July 2014

‘White Blood Seduction’ is strangely different from the norm. I was surprisingly entertained by this novel; surprisingly as this was not exactly as I had thought it would be. Any preconceived ideas you get from the book description will be demolished by the reality of the story.

Knowing about vampires in the world and capturing them, injecting them, and keeping them meek is the basis for this book. Jenny and Ben are fantastic characters and the story flows nicely around the two. With twists and turns this will definitely entertain – it is however a part of a collection and leaves you wanting to what happens next.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mating Brand: 3 is another wonderfully entertaining, complex and enticing novel from Laurann Dohner, 13 July 2014

Laurann Dohner continues her phenomenal Mating Heat series with the story of Brand. With stupendous characters and detailed writing Laurann Dohner entertains the reader beyond expectations.

I loved the interactions between Brand and Charma, from the heartaches to the triumphs. It is amazing how emotional this book can make you; how certain characters make you clench you fists to stop hitting out at the imagination that leaps from the pages.

Mating Brand: 3 is another wonderfully entertaining, complex and enticing novel from Laurann Dohner.

Retribution (Ghost Cats) (Ghost Cat Series Book 2)

5.0 out of 5 stars I little darker than the usual shifter works - loved it..., 1 July 2014
With fantastically complicated characters and a detailed underlying plot, this book is wonderfully entertaining; leading the reader to want to know more about the lives of the shifters, their council and their past.

I have read Jaycee Clark before but had not come across this series previously. I enjoyed the book and the depth of the story so much that I am certainly looking forward to reading more in the Ghost Cat series.

If you have read Clark’s books and enjoyed them, if you like romance with a twist or paranormal shifter novels with a little darkness and romance try this book on for size. This book was definitely worth the purchase price for me…

5.0 out of 5 stars An absolute delight ..., 29 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Historical romance riddled with danger and intrigue, written in such an excellently detailed manner that the reader loses themselves in another world; an absolute delight to read.

In a time gone by, when men chose the course of events, Silver St. Clair is the image of what a well-bred lady should not be. I loved her, the depth of her character explodes from the pages and twines nicely with our charismatic hero and highwayman.

As historical romances go this is one of the best I’ve ever read – the choice is now yours though. Lovers of Christina Skye and the Historical Romance genre will be enticed by the book description, but I would advise anyone interested in a stirring and entertaining read take a look at this book.

Anyone having read the Draycott Abbey series will be familiar to the detailed work of Christina Skye – this series in completely different but worth a little time travelling to the past.
