Quite a delight, 4 Jun. 2011
This book was all of what I expected it to be - A good read charmingly written.
I was raised on the controversial " Mitford Girls " by a very political mother so was familiar with their lifestyle.
This did not detract from the enjoyment of this book one bit and it will be passed on to my daughter.
I urge anyone to take a trip to the Cotswolds to walk in the Batsford Arboretum in the footsteps of this very interesting family then on to Swinbrook for lunch in the pub ( Still owned by the Duchess) then next door to the churchyard where several sisters are buried.
I hope readers will be encouraged to read more about this wonderful lady and her lifetime of endeavour.
