4.0 out of 5 stars at least they are put to good use! What a wonderful imagination Cecilia Ahern has, 4 Aug. 2014
At last I know where all my missing things go...at least they are put to good use!
What a wonderful imagination Cecilia Ahern has...Thank you.
I always enjoy Cecilia's books and this one, which I read several years ago, has stayed with me as I find the idea of a place where everything that is lost goes fascinating. It is a fairy tale for adults. Don't expect a very serious story, expect a magical one that helps you escape the mundane and takes you to a new place to experience and understand a new parallel world.
A great story and a very enjoyable easy read

4.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful easy read, 4 Aug. 2014
If you could see me now is a lovely read. In typical Ahern style she takes a topic, in this case an imaginary friend, and puts a different slant on it. In some cases this can come across as silly and immature but that is part of the magic...making an imaginary friend plausible and real. Ivan is real in the story, Luke and Elizabeth have a lovely relationship with him. Cecilia has a way of making imaginary things, places , myths real and bringing to life, in this particular story the imaginary friends, with their own personalities and problems the team of friends support each other whilst sorting other people with their issues. A wonderful easy read, which does not have the predictable ending that I anticipated.

The girl who saved the king of Sweden...so thoroughly enjoyable. If you enjoyed the 100year old man who climbed out the window you will enjoy this book. The main character Nombeko starts off in the slums of Soweto as a latrine emptier and then has lots of adventures and is involved or witness to a range of misadventures with a background of modern history. I don't know how the author thinks up the scenarios but he writes an excellent story, I didn't think I would find a book like the 100year old man... But whilst completely different it has the same unbelievable whilst believeable scenarios. Well worth the read as it's so enjoyable.

4.0 out of 5 stars The forgotten seamstress, 12 May 2014

An enjoyable story. The author brought the quilt to life with her rich descriptions of the fabrics, colours and design. The plot is interesting and goes from Caroline the current owner of the quilt and all her trials and tribulations with love interests, her elderly mother and friends to the past with the quilt maker Maria and tells of her life as an orphan and seamstress initially employed by royalty. The story is a little predictable but still very enjoyable and I look forward to reading more from this author

Have ordered one of these previously and happy with the product and service so felt happy ordering again. Product arrived earlier than expected in a secure package. Stack and store is a great product for sewers to store all those bobbing without threads getting tangled. Will possibly be ordering again in the future as make great presents too for sewers

4.0 out of 5 stars Vampires living next door to you..., 3 May 2014

This review is from: The Radleys (Kindle Edition)
I really enjoyed this book, you do not have to be 'in to' vampires to enjoy this book. The plot centers around how vampires can live alongside us in the 21st century. The radleys have a dark secret ...I'm not giving anything away here but they are all vampires, the son and daughter do not know they are vampires and the beginning of the story centers on how they cope with being 'different'. The story then takes a sinister turn as a murder happens, the long lost uncle arrives and we find out more about modern day vampires. It's a good read if a little predictable by the end but well worth spending the time to read. An easy , enjoyable and entertaining read
