5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful spacious wallet!, 27 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Very well made wallet that comfortably holds lots of disks. The pattern looks even better in the flesh!

It is quite rigid so that it retains its shape when not full, while the packets inside do a good job of holding the disks and turning over like pages in a book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good replacement for the time being., 27 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to replace the original remote which gradually stopped working.

In case you were not aware, this is not 100% exactly the same as your original controller (mine at least anyway) but is a 99% similar copy and works the same.

This replacement works well most of the time, but some of the buttons, such as the direction arrows, feel wobbly and un-sensitive, and take a little bit more pushing. All works though, and that's the main thing.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very nice, but not suitable for S5!, 27 Jun 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its a beautifully made case and feels very high quality - certainly worth the price.

Unfortunately it is much too tight for the S5. It took alot of effort to put the phone into the case, let alone get it back out! I missed a few phonecalls just because it took so long for me to get the phone out of the case. The tab which you pull to raise the phone isn't very effective and has to be pulled very hard. It has loosened up a bit through use, but its still pretty tight. Worse still, its rubbing the finish off my phone and leaving black marks, and its only a month old!

I'll be looking for a more suitable case, which is a shame as its so nice. It just needs to be a fraction larger.

Sharkoon 4-in-1 Kit 30cm Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps Case Modding Accessories - UV
Sharkoon 4-in-1 Kit 30cm Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamps Case Modding Accessories - UV

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing special, 24 Feb 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I Bought these for myself and a friend's computer, which works out well as the kit is actually a pair of pairs, as 2 cathodes plug into one inverter, of which there are two. So basically we got a working pair each.

Each cathode is nicely made and the wiring is pretty tidy, and sets up easily. Black wiring would have been nice though...

Unfortunately each cathode is quite dim, apart from one which was noticeably brighter than all the other 3. My friend's pre-mixed UV coolant reacted somewhat to the cathode's light, and only when fairly close. I mixed my own liquid, and had to use a whole bottle of UV blue to get a noticeable reaction with 2 cathodes lit up inside the case - You're only supposed to use a few drops, but this may have had something to do with my already coloured white coolant.

The kit comes with many velcro pads and some mounting rings, which were all pretty useless as none of the velcro would stick to anything. The velcro itself is fine, but the adhesive is poor, and only useful for holding something that's already assisted by gravity.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not quite good enough for the price, 12 Jan 2014

Most fuzzy dice are a lot cheaper than these ones, only bought because they were a gift for someone that wanted orange ones.
The quality is nothing special on these ones considering that price difference to others; spot placement could be more accurate! But they do have the added smell which adds a little value.
Would have been nice if they didn't arrive squashed in the post though.

Can't fault it for the price. If you want better quality, you've got to pay more.

Only real negative was the nasty sticker that came stuck to it that was a nightmare to peel off, and left sticky residue behind.

2.0 out of 5 stars Worst Need For Speed Game In A Long Lime, 14 Jan 2009
= Fun:3.0 out of 5 stars
The only reason i bought this game was because it came in a great bundle with my PS3, and i was curious to get it as i am a fan of the series. In a nutshell, this game is pretty terrible, yet i found it fun and played it all the way through. Here's why:

After reading and watching reviews, i was as dissapointed as i expected to be. The graphics were initialy my main concern, as they are simply appauling. Everything looks too bright and is pixelated, and the framerate is terribly inconsistant. 60 frames per second is a standard now for the PS3 and Xbox360, this game dips into single figures i'm sure! not only does the framerate look bad, it really does distract you from the gameplay and make you crash your car. The cars look great until you drive them, where they become bright and pixelated like everything else. I have mixed feelings on the sound of the game. most people will be delighted at the lovely roaring engine sounds some of the cars produce, while other cars in the game produce a lacklustre noise, contrary to what they should sound like in real life.
The controls/handling is as dodgy as ever! previous NFS titles have a simple arcade feel, allowing for easy playing, yet requiring skill to master. then they tried to make it too real with pro street. in undercover, they seem to have taken the handling from pro street, and added the arcade-like handling and taken it to a whole new level of craziness. its awful to control! you either turn too tight, or not enough. its incredibly hard to accuratley steer your car without crashing all the time!
As for difficulty, once you can mostly control the car, the races are easy to win, and the police are easy to escape (well i found this anyway) the only thing making this diffucult is the controlling of your car, rather than the AI skill. speaking of AI, the police are more stupid than ever, and faster than ever. how on earth can a swarm of police cars keep up with my bugatti veyron doing 250mph??? despite this, i never got caught once while i played through and completed the game, even managing to escape a persuit with 2 tyres popped.

I really dont know how the people at EA could make this game, finish it, test it, and say "yeah! we've made a great game here that people will like. it has great visuals, challenging fun gameplay, and slick controls! lets release this fine game to the public!"
In my opinion, this is worse in most ways than all the NFS titles since underground (dont know about the ones before as i havnt played them)

Negative points aside, i would actually like to end this review on a good note. I actually enjoyed playing this game, and it had the appeal for me to keep going back to it until i had completed it. Its up to you if you try this one out. if you can handle the controls and are not put off by the graphics, then i think you will enjoy it. otherwise, if you are like me and have standards for game quality, then steer clear of this and save your money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, very enojoyable, 29 Aug 2007
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
This was one of the first 3 games that i got with my 360, and what a game to have started it with! i have spent over 200 hours playing this game (yes thats a long time!) and i still love it. its a great game for car lovers.

Its a very enojyable, relaxing game to play, or a very challenging game to play - it depends what you are doing. theres plenty of challenging races and tasks to do in this game (some are challenging to the point of being incredibly frustrating) but if all you want to do is relax and have a nice cruise in your favourite car, the game is great for just that aswell.

A few negatives i'm afraid: yes, there are flaws... the AI of traffic, whilst being quite clever, can be incredibly stupid, and can ruin your fun (you are driving along sensibly, and then a car pulls out of a junction infront of you)
then theres the police; you MUST play this online, you cant have too much fun offline, because in offline mode there are police. and the second you have 2 or more accidents in the space of about 20s (quite likely due to the silly ai) you will have yourself a noisy, annoying persuit, possibly leadiing to a fine.
the handling is not hugely realistic, but its nice, and it seems suitable for road driving.
some of the car details are a bit flawed e.g. faulty dials, or simply the none-exhistence of dials in some cars, and some of the car sounds just simply arent right

back to good points... theres a huge selection of lovely cars from around the world, which can also be expanded with download packs. unfortunatley you have to pay for most of these, but most are worth it.
the cars themselves are as customisable as much as they are in real life, as you are able to choose from the manufacturers colours, interior colours and combinations, and wheels.
there is simple performance upgrades for most of the cars in the game, and they are very simple... a bit too simple for those who prefer a more detailed and bigger approach to tuning.
the island is gigantic! theres tonnes of road to drive on, and it will take you months to see it all! theres long stretches of open freeway, as well as twisted country roads
the graphics are pretty good, the visual quality even better. its quite a beautiful game to play, what with all that scenery - must play in HD, its a huge improvment!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but a bit dissapointing for the fans of Forza 1, 29 Aug 2007
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
Get ready to read a lengthy review, this highlights the main highs and lows of the game!

This is a very good game, no doubts there; excellent graphics, highly realistic gameplay, huge selection of cars, excellent sound, massive customisation features.
the major problem with this game is the lack of tracks, there just arent enough, and not enough of them are really good enough. there is suposedly about 30 different tracks, which is a lie. theres about 10 tracks, then about 10 varients of one really long boring difficult track, then aload of reversed versions of most of the tracks.

fans of the previous game will be dissapointed with the loss of some of their favourite tracks, as well as the lack of new tracks - theres lots of tracks from the previous game, and only a handful of brand new ones, so not much new material for a new game.

another annoyance is the lack of some of the newest and most up to date cars. theres plenty of cars in the game, but its annoying to find that theres lots of old ones, instead of the newer, better versions, e.g. the old shape honda civic type R instead of the brand new one, the koenigsegg cc instead of the newer much faster ccr or ccx, and many more examples.

the car painting tools are good, and vastly improved from the previous game, but there are still flaws, one annoying one being that the positioning of graphics can wander slightly from where you origionally put them, most noticably when you spent time carefully centering a nice set of viper stripes on your car, only to find in-game that they are wonky for no reason.

The online play is very good. for such a demanding game, the online quality is quite flawless with no lag (only when a players connection is bad) and vastly improved loading times for customised cars (the loading time for races is quite long). the only real problem with online racing is the terrible skill or attitude that some players tend to have (as in all games) very annoying to be doing a perfect race, to suddenly have some idiot smash into the back of your car for fun to ruin your race.

I still do enjoy playing this game, but it has hardly provided the same replay value that the predecessor gave (many many months), as its just quite boring, repetitive, and frustrating now. i do occasionally give it a good go now and then, but i have found that i have returned to test drive unlimited!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great looks AND great sound!, 24 Aug 2007
From the instant I put the first song on, I was impressed with these speakers. They sound great, even at high volume, with good sound in all pitches. The controls are good, as subwoofer can be easily adjusted (this is useful at night when you're trying to be quiet) and they can be turned off with their power button, which alot of systems tend not to have, instead of humming for hours - but they are also silent when no sound is played (other speakers can hum constantly)

they also look great!
