4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not great, 22 Feb 2011
This is generally a good live show. Voices go from fabulous to less than adequate.
Ramin (love never dies) Karimloo is BRILLIANt as enjolras, the girl playing eponine
is also fantastic, a good cosette, jean valjean & javert and Gavroche. Nick Jonas as
Marius is not so good, he is so out of his league it isn't funny. He doesn't have a bad voice
but it wasn't made for productions like this.

i wish however, that they had filmed a version of the STAGE show, as in the actual show, instead of
everyone standing stationary singing into microphones

5.0 out of 5 stars Arjun Rampal can act!, 20 Sep 2010
This review is from: Raajneeti [DVD] [2010] (DVD)
Raajneeti is a fantastic political drama in the vein of 'the godfather' but with politics
instead of mobsters. It concerns the breaking apart of a political family after the leader
(and the father of one) suffers a stroke. He then appoints his brother & his son leader in his
stead. Meanwhile his own son, who feels he has been shamed, sets about grasping power for himself.

Dragged into this are a family member recently returned from america, the indian girl who loves him,
and his american girlfriend..who he loves.

Manoj bajpaj & ajay devgan were as good as to be expected in this, i was really made to quite
dislike their characters.

Ranbir Kapoor was good. His character was quite cold, but you could sympathise with him.

katrina kaif did better than i expected her to, and she is beautiful.

Sarah Thompson was good also, a likable character.

but Arjun Rampal, i have forever despaired of his acting abilities. I didn't expect him to
wow me in this but he DID! Yey arjun! you have finally hit the mark.

great film, recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't listen to the other review!!!!, 19 May 2004
This review is from: Poison (Paperback)
I have read the haunting of alaizabel cray and i hated it. I bought this believing i would most probably hate it was well. But no! The story is well thought out and quiet freaky in parts (especially at the spider-lady's castle). Poison (the main character) does win your sympathy and The Phaerie lord Aelthar is a charcater rather reminiscent of Jareth (Labyrinth) which i definetly like. This book is well worth the 4.49 or wwhatever it costs and. It is a dark, gothic tale as you can imagine it being when having a leading lady named Poison. Five stars, definetley!!!
