A very useful camera accessory, 20 Aug 2012
I occasionally need to email, or upload photos directly after shooting, and in the past have had to use a laptop, or smartphone for this. Earlier Eye-Fi cards also had some limits on file transfer. But the x2 cards are effectively plug n play after a few very easy steps to set up the card using the included card reader and a laptop. I've installed the free Android app on my HTC Desire, paired up the card (it can be used in pretty much any camera) and now simply 'protect' the pic I want to transfer (in the camera playback menu), and it's sent by wi-fi to my HTC, where the app stores the pic on the phone's SD card. Then I just send the pic on to anywhere I choose from the phone.. Brilliantly simple, which easily and simply adds a really useful function to any camera. There is also an iPhone app available, which would make a pretty mighty combo, given the much better photo editing apps for iPhones. Android is still weak in that area. The more expensive Pro version has Eye-Fi's wifi hotspot transfer function, but while this is well set up in the USA, it's patchy in the UK, so save money and get the much cheaper x2 Connect card instead. At the bargain price these days too (I remember when the early Eye-Fi cards were £100 or so), I reckon this card is pretty much an essential for any professional photographer, or traveller, or anyone who likes taking pics and sharing them by social networks.

Simply brilliant work, 14 Aug 2012
This really is a must have photo book for those interested in photojournalism. Killip simply records the sea coal people superbly, without overlaying a 'style' as is often the case today, other than his style of straight, sharp, observation. The fact that this is a fine record of a now long gone 'folk industry' adds to its value. For me, this book was very enjoyable and also photographically inspirational.

It's the works for sure, 14 Aug 2012
Just just gotta love this huge collection of Madness, a band that is being rediscovered now really, having been seen as a 'fun' group back in the day. Listening to this you can follow their progression from those energetic, fun early songs, through to their much more musically rounded later work. So good to have this catalogue of songs together, especially if you're old enough to feel nostalgic for some of them! And a bit of a bargain too...

Like a greatest classical hits, for free, 13 Aug 2012
How can you not like this selection of fine performances of some of the best known pieces of classical music, an hours worth, for free?! An excellent 'pre-shuffled' playlist, like a Classic FM show to keep. Just get it!

A superb photo book, 15 Feb 2011
One of the most enjoyable photo books I own. Stunning photos, and fascinating stories from the photographer. This book is a delight.

An essential in any camera bag, 15 Feb 2011
Customer review from the Amazon Vine™ Programme (What's this?)
I've used these lens pen type cleaning things for some time, as they are very effective and convenient. I was interested to try Amazon's own branded version, and at first thought it was no different from any other I've used. This is no bad thing. Then by accident, I found it had two lens cleaning 'tips'. A larger one for larger lenses, and then reversed, the really useful 'bonus', it has a smaller tip for cleaning tiny compact camera or cameraphone lenses. Excellent. This makes Amazon's lens pen really useful as it is an all-in-one device, instead of having to carry two lens pens. It's really important to keep compact camera and phone lenses clean as a bit of dirt can really affect the photo quality as the lens is so small. The cleaning ability of this lens pen is just as good as the original brand version, so I'd say this is an essential item for almost any camera owner.

Brilliant version of Slade's classic, 22 Dec 2010
Heard on Radcliffe and Maconie's Radio 2 show, and just had to have it! Who would believe Noddy Holder's finest festive classic could be so beautifully performed by a folk singer?! I love the original, but Karine's version is if anything, more festive, and perfectly suited to the Christmas spirit. Buy and enjoy!

Excellent little camera, 3 Dec 2009
I have a few small compact cameras, but this F200exr is something special and different. For those with no particular interest in the technology, it is simply an very versatile and high quality camera which takes great pics. For those who are photographers, then Fuji's unique SuperCCD exr sensor, and the different settings available, make this a very interesting and capable camera indeed. I'm really enjoying what this camera can do and the images it produces. For all, it has a great lens with a useful range, and a great LCD screen to compose pics. At the usual price, I reckon this Finepix is a fine buy. Buy in December 09, claim the cashback, and it is simply an unbeatable bargain. Shame I bought mine on Nov 25th! :-( Great camera though, I'm very pleased with it.

Excellent in-ear headphones, 29 Oct 2009
Good headphones make such a difference, and these are very good indeed. I have a small collection of headphones, mostly Sennheiser, which are very good, but find the in-ear 'phones of theirs which I have are too bass driven. Initially I thought these Klipsch earphones were disappointingly weak, but changing the in-ear 'seals'(3 sizes included) made a huge difference, and suddenly everything sounded much better! They fit very comfortably and securely (I washed the car while using them, without any fall outs), and are beautifully made. I have a 120gb iPod classic, so didn't make use of the iPhone functions which makes these a handsfree unit for calls. But the in-line controls are a great idea, very easy to use and very useful. The controls are small and discreet and can hardly be seen, as are the earphones themselves. These are a very classy set of 'phones. I've listened to a wide variety of music to test these, from classic through jazz to rock, and really enjoyed the clarity of sound, and controlled bass. The sound is a little 'bright', but overall I really liked the sound quality which is nicely balanced. These are the most expensive 'phones I have, but now notice the difference that the extra cost brings. My £20-30 headphones are fine, but these Klipsch 'phones really bring out the music, and are easily my new favourites. For an iPhone owner, I reckon these are essentials.

Beautiful book of wonderful photos., 26 Oct 2009
Quite simply, this a marvellous book of wonderful photos that should delight any photographer. The perfect simplicity of Jane Bown's work, all in mono, is very pleasing. Note..Search Channel Four News website for a fine little video about Jane and her work, relating to the exhibition at the Guardian offices, of photos in this book.
