Morphy Richards 172004 Accents Espresso Coffee Maker - Black/Stainless Steel
Morphy Richards 172004 Accents Espresso Coffee Maker - Black/Stainless Steel
Price: £78.95

4.0 out of 5 stars Neat little machine, 23 Oct. 2015
Compact, easy to use and easy to clean, this machine makes great coffee quickly. Accessories supplied and neat design make it easy to fill for your preferred strength and easy to clean out and refill You need small cups and jugs for both the espresso and the milk frother, but these are easy to pour into larger mugs if, like me, you drink coffee by the pint.

If you like harmony singing, buy this album! Then buy Mayday. Then go and see them live, they are fresh, vibrant and wonderful to hear.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Mountaineering Classic, 27 Feb. 2014

Probably the most famous mountaineering expedition of all time, and this is the critically acclaimed official film record of it. Many of the scenes will look familiar, but there is no substitute for seeing the whole package and reliving the moment with them all.

Don't be put off by the fact that this is a silent movie, it is absolutely gripping from start to finish. A must see for anyone interested in mountaineering history or Tibetan culture.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sound, 27 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought these after reading some mixed reviews that generally praised the sound but often reported problems (from power supply issues to persistent noises). Having used them for a while now, mine have been flawless, offering superb sound and a reasonable power/volume for a budget price, a big improvement on the aging Yamahas that they replaced, and I though that they were pretty good! Mine came with a laptop style power supply, and so didn't suffer the socket space problems reported by some for the earlier plug in version, and there have been no extraneous noises at all, just great, clean sound.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Rare Classic, 27 Feb. 2014

This review is from: Lead the Knave (Audio CD)
By far the most expensive CD I have ever bought, this is worth every penny. The virtuoso musicianship shines through from start to finish, and the title track is a classic. The unusual expression of folk tunes through McGlynn's Fender Telecaster and Casey's classically trained violin will appeal to many who don't usually choose to listen to folk music. It is a long time since it was recorded, and it is well overdue for re-release at a more reasonable price.

1.0 out of 5 stars What happened Duffy?, 27 Feb. 2014
This review is from: Endlessly (Audio CD)
Endlessly scores one star only because Amazon doesn't allow zero. I rate Rockferry as one of the most distinctive début albums of the last couple of decades, and have rarely been as impressed as I was by Duffy's magnificent and distinctive vocals. On it she expressed her talent through a wide variety of songs in which she showed great power and range, emotion and control, subtlety, sophistication and raw expression, all on top of superbly crafted instrumentals. She was magnificent, the production was magnificent.. In Endlessly there is no sign of any of this. The songs are largely banal disco pop that does not suit her voice and has few redeeming features. What went wrong Duffy? You showed such promise.

4.0 out of 5 stars Essential Record of a Great Singer, 18 Aug. 2011

If you only want to own one Bobby Gentry record, or just want to find out what made her a legend, then this is the one to buy. All her classic bluesy ballads are there together with her better known lighter stuff. The mix is such that it isn't all to my taste, and probably won't be to yours, but overall it delivers.

It never ceases to amaze me how Ralph McTell continues to create great CDs that are both fresh and unmistakeably his. Ralph is always good to listen to and, if you get the chance, to see perform live. I bought this after hearing him sing several of the tracks in concert a couple of months ago, and thoroughly recommend it.

A great anthology of the Reverend's work, marred only by the quality of the original (and by modern standards, primitive) recordings. His quality and character as an influential blues-man shine through, however.
