4.0 out of 5 stars An excellent read, 12 Oct. 2005
This book for anyone familiar wiyh Louis Therouxs work as a documentary maker is an excellent insight into his real feelings about his subjects .which ,while you can make an educated guess at watching his subtle knowing looks to camera and mock ignorance, are I feel, honestly expressed in this book.Louis trys to catch up with the characters he found most intreging, and while most of these meetings prove on the whole less fuffiling than he might of wished, the honesty and insights into the motivations of these widley different groups of people he brings ,is thought provoking, funny and very well balanced in my opinion. This a very well written book and an excellent extension of his tv work.I even learnt two knew words,Melliflous and Vituperative during the course of reading it.Well done Louis its an excellent book.
