5.0 out of 5 stars An Inspirational Property Book... Written by a Nurse Who Works 14-Hour Shifts!, 3 Feb. 2015
This review is from: Lucky Pennies (Paperback)
Jahlyn King is an inspiration. She sometimes works 14-hour shifts as a nurse, caring for others, with hardly a moment to spare.... Yet she has still managed to build a property portfolio in London, and write this book. If she can achieve this success, anyone can. This isn't just an inspirational book. It's also a helpful 'how to' guide to create prosperity through property investing. The book avoids jargon and gives you helpful step-by-step plans to create your own long-term wealth through property.

Do You Choose Your Dog More Carefully Than Your Husband?
Do You Choose Your Dog More Carefully Than Your Husband?
by Annie Kaszina
Edition: Paperback
Price: £14.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Insightful and Funny, 22 Jan. 2015
This is the funniest book on relationships you are ever likely to read - and a perfect gift for dog owners.

Annie Kaszina is very candid about her own relationship lessons and mistakes over the years, as well as sharing stories about some of her clients.

I suspect a lot of women will realise that they've also spent more time choosing their pet.

Not only is this book filled with startling insights from Annie's 10 years as a therapist, it's one of the very few handful of relationship books that is laugh-out-loud funny.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great read for the beach, 23 July 2014
This thriller style novel provides a mixture of sex, romance and good old shoot-outs, vividly portrayed under the searing California sun.

Isobel is a lonely and vulnerable English beauty on the rebound from a reckless affair, and fighting a ticking body clock. Ryan is the toy-boyish Hollywood young gun warming her bed, while fighting off competition from mysterious man-about-town Lance.

Can Isobel work out which, if either, to trust while at the same time staying out of the clutches of the determined Detective Burnham, and the shady villains who are interested in more than her body?

The story starts with Isobel being arrested on the Mexico border. She knows she’s no drug-runner and so do the cops, so why is everyone out to get her?

This book has a fast-paced plot and is a great read while you're sitting on the beach.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Must-Have If You're Travelling to Athens, 13 Jun. 2014
Most travel books are a bit bland and cold. What's great about this one is that it's written in a warm and personal way. What's more, the author has actually lived in Athens, and is incredibly knowledgeable about the city's culture.
She takes you through the neighbourhoods, exploring the city's monuments and museums, to places you would not otherwise see.
This book is a must-have if you want to find the hidden treasures of Athens that other travellers won't know about.

5.0 out of 5 stars This Made My Daughter Smile, 13 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
My daughter had been having challenges with bullying at school and I was at a loss for how to best help her.
A friend recommended this book, and I'm so glad she did.
After reading, my daughter (aged 7) said: "Mummy, this book makes me feel happy again."
It's a really great way of showing your children that happiness is inside of them, no matter what challenges they face on the outside.

I gave this book to a friend who knows nothing whatsoever about domestic violence to read.
He is STILL talking about it even today! Yes, really.
This book gives really valuable insights into what domestic violence is, how it slowly spirals out of control without you even noticing, and how to break the cycle of abuse.
It's full of frank and honest advice. If you've ever experienced domestic violence, this book will help you understand what's happening and gives tips on how to move forward to a happier life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fun, Fresh and Wacky, 13 May 2014
This book is filled with memorable one-liners such as: ‘Do unto others before they do unto you’ and 'I’m as good on a horse as a whale on a trapeze’. We have a Prime Monster instead of a Prime Minister; Selfishes instead of Selfridges; Horrids instead of Harrods.
The characters are all larger than life, the world is magical, and the plot roars along at a breakneck speed.
It's fun, it's fresh, it's wacky and it's totally different to anything you're likely to have read before.
