A great album. The pinacle of the man's career. Well-written and well arranged songs. Musically brilliant and full of energy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Thinking, 25 April 2011
A thought-provoking and a thought-stirring book. Quite a few things fell into place for me. I could now make sense of past experiences and look forward to new. In the main a very positive book, particularly the idea that mistakes are an inseperable part of the human ability to imagine.

Jazz-techno fusion at its best. Perhaps a touch of Zappa circa "Hot Rats" in there too.

4.0 out of 5 stars New to me, 23 April 2010
It's a new type of jazz for me being used to swing and be-bop but it's growing on me. The title is very apt. My next purchase may well be "Jazz of the Century" also by Coleman and which has its 50th birthday this year.

"Ashes to ashes, dust to dust. If the women don't get ya then the whisky must". Play it at my funeral, please.
