5.0 out of 5 stars Hard not to love it., 31 July 2004
This review is from: Under My Skin (Audio CD)
This has to be the best £10 ive ever spent. Its such an impressive cd with fantastic tracks. OK, some will say it sounds like Let go. But-let go worked..and sure does this aswell.
This is my 2nd favourite album of the year [following keane]. I would recommend this album to anybody.
Under My Skin is aimed at men/ boyfriends and how they should'nt use avril.
Track list:
1) Take Me Away-A great start to the album, very loud and typical of Avril. Goes down a storm and gets the album going in full swing-4/5
2) Together-My favourite track off the album by far-i love the spine tingling lyrics leading up to the beautiful chorus-5/5
3) Dont Tell Me-Avril's first single off under my skin. I dont have to describe it much but its in a word, excellent-5/5
4) He wasnt-Doesn't really make an impact at first however after listening to the album it starts to grow-3/5
5) How does it feel?-a beautiful, sentimental ballad like im with you. This goes down a treat and will be Avril's 3rd release off this album in the UK-5/5
6) My Happy Ending-2nd single. Great. brilliant, well writtern lyrics-5/5
7) Nobody's Home-Another very good track. 4/5 One of my favourites.
8) Forgotten-A real rock song. Impressive. 5/5
9) Who Knows-A beautiful song-great lyrics. 4/5
10) Fall To Pieces-Good 3/5
11) Freak Out-My 2nd favourite. I love this song and can relate to it very much myself 5/5
12) Slipped Away-Beautiful. 4/5
Bonus: (UK) I always get what i want: A phenomenal song. 5/5
This is a brilliant cd. Highly recommended to anybody.

This review is from: Matinee (Audio CD)
Franz Ferdinand are back with their 2nd Single off their self named album.I didnt really rate them until i heard this song as i found take me outquite tedious.
Lyrics like "SO FIND ME AND FOLLOW ME, THROUGHCORRIDORS, REFECTORIES AND FILES" from a band deserve to stay in theindustry.

5.0 out of 5 stars PHWOAR!!, 24 April 2004
Christina milian left us with "when you look at me" 2 years ago. Her firstalbum-self named sold millions worldwide and her forthcoming LP "It'sabout time" needs to carry some good tunes in order to match thatphenomenal success.
Dip it low is all centered around giving something back to your man-"poppop pop that thang, imma show you how to make your man say Oh" andinvolves some sort of sexy dance obviously originated by miss milian. Thesong carries a sexy, slick oriental backing tune and christina's maturedvocals glide over the music.
The chorus is phenomenal and the lyricsjust plant themselves on your brain. Overall the song is fantastic.
The video, miss milian has changed so much in 2 YEARS! The first time isaw the video i didnt know it was christina milian until her name poppedup. She's dropped her teenage girl next door look and has adopted a sassyblonde hairstyle which sets off her body completely. In the video she iswearing a revealing, leather corset and black hotpants and halfway throughrolls about in some sort of black paint-PHWOAR!
Her dancing isoutstanding and im surprised she didnt break her back with some of themoves she does on the video she literally falls backwards onto a woodenfloor!
The only criticism about the song, well not the song-her new album is thati hope more tracks are released off it instead of the disappointing 2which were released off her debut therefore her fans are getting much morebetter value.
Back to the song though, this is TREMENDOUS and WILLdefinitely make the UK top 3. This will bring Christina Milians infamousname back into the British music industry.

5.0 out of 5 stars sorry to see you go, this is in a word, fantastic., 21 Mar. 2004
Atomic kitten's songs have been a rollercoaster ride really from day 1 from having outstanding success with "Whole again" to almost being dropped for floppers like "love doesnt have to hurt". Right Now 2004 seems silly to review as it is exactly the same as the original with a more remixed background so im going to review someone like me. Someone like me is the 2nd song on this AA single and is emotive, powerful and touching for their final song. Liz, tash and jen all sing their own verse without much passion to create a more tense feeling surrounding the song. This should achieve the number 1 it deserves and i wish that they werent leaving the music industry-im sure we'll be seeing a lot more of them in time to come in solo careers. Good luck, this is fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding, 8 Mar. 2004
I admit, im not a huge fan of michelle, not because of her "weight" or her looks i just think that the material she has been given has been bland, uninteresting and disappointing for such a passionate artist.
I dont really like her album, the songs i can sing along to are all this time and this beautiful ballad, the title of her album.
There only seems to be 1 verse, the rest the chorus which constantly repeats itself. But again, her vocals are out of this world. If you liked all this time, you'll love this.

1.0 out of 5 stars tacky. awful. call it what u want, just not good, 6 Mar. 2004
Not even worth 1 star ^
As if the fast food song wasnt bad enough they've now released this rubbish. the song is cheesy throughout, so its aptly named. We have a big blue dog prancing around and 3 orange people. if that doesnt put you off then go out and spend your money buying it. But u must be mad. Smile please is absolute tack and has to be the worst song of 2003. They are making a huge mockery of the music industry and i really hope they do not release any more songs. Children, please do not buy this crap anymore.

Beyonce. worldwide superstar who can sing some of the world's most difficult songs. Crazy in love had to be the song of the year, baby boy was good and me, myself and i well was ok for the time when it was released. here seemed to be a bit of regress but then this was released. The 6th song off Dangerously in love-Naughty Girl is a refreshing vibrant rnb styled song with excellent vocals. The last song off the album this will keep with us whilst we wait in anticipation for her next album released in June. As good as Baby boy, this will do well.
The girls done good!

This review is from: You & Me [CD 1] (Audio CD)
Alistair Griffin *yawns* yet another reality tv star this time courtesy of the BBC. This single is the 2nd song to have been taken from his album Bring it on, probably the most blandest selection of "music" to hit the shelves.
Admittedly, Bring it on [the single] was excellent but this is in 1 word, dreadful. This will be the song to finish his short career off and maybe will give these reality tv show producers the idea that the people who they are manufacturing are just talentless. Michelle McManus and alex parks-terrible. Go out and refresh your minds with some beyoncé or justin timberlake. But not this rubbish. surely?

5.0 out of 5 stars Hey mama, buy this song that make you groove mama!, 28 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Hey Mama [CD 1] (Audio CD)
The black eyed peas.........easily the best international band. It came as a complete shock when they didnt win that award at the brits. Where is the love was outstanding, Shut up was excellent and Hey Mama is.....well in one word, brilliant.
The third song off the platinum album elephunk, Hey mama is a fast rnb song full of good vocals and raps. I would like this to get number 1, but it wont due to the queen of pop [read my review on that!] Hey mama will do well and will keep the Black eyed peas safe in the UK music industry, best song of their album it grows on you every time you hear it. You will never ever get bored of this song, you'll pick up something new about it everytime. Fantastic. Buy it, now.
