A brilliant mix of factual accounts and humour. Had me chuckling most of the way to work on many a train journey - a great way to start the day! I would recommend this book as a 'Must Read',especially for those with prior military experience.
Hi, after reading the reviews, I chose to go in for a pair of the Hi-Tec Men's Altitude IV WP shoes on Friday. The order was despatched promptly and I received the shoes first thing on Monday morning and turned out exactly as advertised - correct size, light; sturdy and waterproof; full marks for the delivery service. The timing too was fortuitous. We had our fair share of snow soon after I got my shoes, and have been using them. Advantages - my feet stay dry, the soles offer a good grip and I have been able to clamber over the most slippery of slopes; the cross strap arrangement makes it very easy to lace up and unlace; the padded ankle support means the ankles do not get scraped; the v-cut in the back of the padded ankle support means the shoe is easy to get on/off; and best of all is the message inside the lid of the shoe box from the CEO of Hi-Tech asking for direct feedback!! So far I have not found any faults or weaknesses and will surely let the CEO know if I have any suggestions. Well done Hi-Tec: wish you more successes. -schibber
