1.0 out of 5 stars Not good, at all, 28 Oct. 2014

Not good, at all. I know this is a cheap tablet but reading all the positive reviews I gave it a go. The quality is terrible it's much better to use the mouse. It's so imprecise that it's useless, even simple doodling cannot be done with it. I'm not sure why it has so many positive reviews

1.0 out of 5 stars Only buy if you like warm spirits that taste like mud, 27 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought the rocks solely due to the positive reviews and I'm still not sure why they are so positive. I tried a few times but the results were always the same.

Buy the rocks if you:

--- like your drinks warm: all 9 rocks will have an effect of around half an ice cube
--- like your prime spirits with a heavy taste of mud / rock: the taste is just awful

Otherwise avoid

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing, soooo comfortable!, 2 Mar. 2014

The pricing was quite reasonable, unless it will break after a few months (in that case I would update this review). Good build quality in overall and very easy to set up. Extremely comfortable!

4.0 out of 5 stars Interesting idea, execution not quite there, 24 Jun. 2013
This review is from: The Singularity (Kindle Edition)
The idea is interesting, exploring what social networking can lead to and the consequences for privacy. However, this is lost in poor writing, flat one-dimensional characters and predictable linear A to B plot. At some point I almost thought it's a post-modernistic play on readers' perception of the plot itself that will in the end unravel its multitude of hidden layers. Sadly, this was not the case. The title is also misleading, not sure if one would associate singularity with a social networking profile; although it does show in search results. The author says it was written on his iPhone on the tube. Unfortunately, it reads as such.

===========================================================

After a year I raised the rating from 2 to 4 stars. I forgot about the poor writing but the main ideas of the book still resonated with me.

Remember, if you're not an exhibitionist who 'shares' every thought on their Facebook profile you're a criminal due for re-socialisation! Big brother has arrived

1.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed, 9 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
After reading Accelerando by Charles Stross I expected The Rapture to have an even more geeky hard sci-fi singularity twist. However, it's not really a sci-fi book, it's more of a collection of non coherent events in a quasi-fantasy convention. To my great disappointment the plot seems to be directed by a random number generator, the characters are flat and in overall it's not good at all.

It might have been intended as a comedy as it feels like a failed combination of Idiocracy and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, not funny. I really tried to read this book but after several attempts I gave up. The first book I haven't finished in years.
