Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse - Black/Grey
Logitech M235 Wireless Mouse - Black/Grey
Price: £14.50

5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable accurate Simple, 30 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought one of the older model (M205) for my (mac) computer and have had it several years. Batteries seem to last about 6 months. Recently I bought this M235 model for a friends PC and it worked straight away on Win 8. As a test I tried it on an XP PC and a Win 7 PC and both worked fine, although XP needed drivers to work properly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Network adapter I have found, 30 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have bought 2 of these for various friends computers. If you have a desktop and dont mind the largish size this ios probably the one to choose. Have tested all around friends houses and this seems the best unit I could find. The base stations were a BT home hub on one occasion and a TP-Link unit on the other. Might not be the most suitable for a Laptop, but for the desktop these worked fine.

5.0 out of 5 stars Near Perfect, 15 Nov. 2012

This torch (the 7438 T7) and the 8407 P7 share the same innards but a slightly different body. The best positive review of the P7 is actually a T7 and the main criticism of the P7 seems to be the slide to focus, as opposed to the twist to focus on the T7. Added to this the T7 is actually £7 cheaper!

LED Lenser warn on their website that there are some fakes out there, and it may be that some of the negative reviews relate to these, so its a good idea to buy from a trusted reseller like Amazon.

The torch itself is very nice to use, I bought it as a replacement for another lost Maglite 2 x AA cell. If you know the Maglite, the T7 is slightly shorter and considerably fatter, but can be fitted into a jacket or even jeans pocket fairly comfortably. It focuses like a Maglite but has a rear mounted button that should be more reliable than the twist switch in the Maglite, which was always a weak point.

The T7 runs on 3xAAA cells which are pretty cheap to replace, unlike some other "tactical flashlights" .

So why would you buy the P7? Well the P7 has high and low power modes, which might be useful in some situations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners or as a refresher, 12 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Its many years since I last built anything from scratch and I found this a great refresher for getting beck into it. The layout is very clear, and builds on previous sections in a logical manner. The balance between theory and practice is about right, not holding you up with too much theory, but giving you enough to understand what you are doing. The maths isn't as daunting as some reviews suggest, If you can follow any of the GCSE maths textbooks out there you shouldn't have any problem with this book. This book will not make you an electronic engineer, but will make you a competent electronics hobbyist, and may well be a useful aid to someone studying a more academic syllebus.

My one recommendation for this book would be to have a comprehensive parts list in an appendix so you can get a full kit together. I would like to see an Electronics 2 for dummies to go a little further into the use of microprocessors.

Make sure you get the UK edition (if you're in the UK) as other reviews suggest there are considerable differences in the US version.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Multi Purpose Soldering Iron, 12 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you are exclusively soldering ICs you might be better off with the little 15W version. If you are exclusively soldering large earth bond then something a little larger may be needed, but this is the best compromise size out there. I use this for some mains, and some PCB work and find it does well in every situation.

My last one lasted 15 years, and only broke due to my own carelessness. This is rugged, well designed and versatile. Spare tips are readily available. Recommended.

Hydrography for the Surveyor and Engineer

5.0 out of 5 stars Hydrography, 30 Oct. 2009

An excellent introduction to the subject of Hydrography. Ingram's clear text and well annotated diagrams give a good overviewof the field. Abbott's revisions make the book more up to date.

Sadly out of print, but if you can find a copy it is well worth it.
