Edition: Paperback
Price: £19.98

5.0 out of 5 stars Professional Peformance Profiling .net style, 21 Jun. 2012
If your looking for a book that teaches you how to go about performance profiling a .net application, then this book is for you.

The book covers the principles, the gotchas, a sample application which is real world type scenario, and covers several of the different profiler applications around today - it also walks you through how to identify issues and what to look out for in general.

It teaches you best practices for performance monitoring and goes beyond using profiler in order to cover all reas of performance tuning and monitoring.

This book is well written, well layed out and flows naturally. A must read if you want to learn how to tune your .net application and make it perform a lot faster.

I recommend this mainly because of the real world scenario application and how your walked thorugh making it perform a whole lot faster.

The Xbox 360 is sturdy, well made and overall very impressive piece of kit.

I bought it with Gears of War from here and I am very impressed to say the least. The game is very slick, graphics and gameplay are awesome and the game gets you straight into the action.

I look forward to hooking it up to XBox live and taking on others at the game.

I have been keeping a close tab on xbox 360 or ps3 and there was no doubt which system I wanted in the end.

Note:- the pad is wireless so get a play and charge kit as well.

Easily scores 5 out of 5 and you should have no hesitation at all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Look no further than this book, 28 Oct. 2004
As a Software Engineer I was looking for one concise source for everything I needed to know about Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services. The book covers everything you need to know and would want to learn about, and more, in a manner which puts this book ahead of the competition.
The inside knowledge of Reporting Services from the Authors is clear from the outset and along with the very high quality video walkthroughs on the DVD, there really is no stone left uncovered in the area of Reporting Services.
The best practise guidelines include installation techniques, security options and their implications, query techniques and much more.
Every possible option possible within Reporting Services is explained and there is even content which goes beyond this showing you how to customize the look of the Reporting Services Manager.
In summary the inside knowledge of the Authors of this book coupled with the learning material including the DVD make this my favourite book of 2004.
Go buy it now!
