Thoroughly enjoyable, fast-paced, fascinating read. I lost a weekend in it!
Pauline fleshes out the contradictory myth of Frank Zappa, presenting a believable, three dimensional and complex character. She repeatedly alludes to his enigmatic aura that seems to have touched everyone coming into contact with him. Most interestingly and it sometimes seems, to an extent subconsciously, she unveils the personal picture of a friendship that affected her life too, not only in fuelling this wonderful book, but, one feels, with a lasting profundity and inspiration.
