2.0 out of 5 stars For children only, 24 Nov 2014

Please check the height as I didn't and it isn't obvious that this is only for a child. I'm only 5' but had to squat to use it. It's also pretty flimsy so probably not a good idea for use with anything but the cheapest camera.

Funniest book to have come out of Belfast ever! And the second book "Dirty Dancing at Le Shebeen" is even better. Can't wait for the third to arrive.

The book has now been produced as a sell out play (9,000 tickets sold)and further preformances are being put on in Belfast's Opera House in August.

It's about strong funny women who enjoy a bit of craic and the book is a million, million times better than the 'grey' books. I promise you'll love it and end up buying it for girl friends.

Never thought I'd enjoy a forign language film about a quadraplegic so much. Funny and touching with a dance scene you just want to watch over and over.

I'd rented the film from Lovefilm but immidiately ordered in from Amazon. I don't think I've done that in years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good practice, 1 May 2008

This was an inspiring read on a number of levels, as a historical narative it's a facinating look into how nurses and midwives practice in the 1950's but it is also a warm story of one womans' spiritual journey through her work. I loved every word of it.

Forget pumpkin seeds for boosting female libido. Rufus Sewell in the 'Taming of the Shrew' had me thinking the sort of thoughts that get happily married women into the divorce courts.

5.0 out of 5 stars A vampire story for romantics, 22 Nov 2005
This review is from: Vrolok (Paperback)
If you've out grown bonk busters but arn't ready for 'War and Peace'. You like a bit of romance but can't stand spineless females constantly getting into difficulties (and having to be rescued by macho males). Like a bit of magic but are sick of Harry Potter this is the book for you. It's a long book but has a cracking pace. I'm not usually a fan of gothic or sci-fi but found my self getting up early, just so I could read another chapter before work. There are some punctuation errors which interfear with the occasional peice of dialogue, but not enough to stop me highly recommending this book.
