If you only buy one folk album in your life, make it this one. It is pure brilliance, John Martyn meets Nick Drake is too often used to discribe some bloke twanging a guitar, but if you appreciate the work of these two men, you will be blown away by Alexi.

Great little album that has that made in his bedroom feel. I usually like this style but sadly I find this album a bit samey. I'd prefer it if the tone varied a little more, however, it's worth the cover price just for Comin' Home. Once this track comes on, all is forgiven and you won't be able to stop yourself singing your heart out!

Great country folk outing from these swedish sisters. Beautiful voices and strong songs. The expanded edition is worth the extra cash.

What a great album, I can't recommend it more. Full of lush, calming songs but never dull moment. A perfect wind down listen.

These guys obviously had too much time on their hands but lacked the talent to do anything with it. They've managed to create a new genre of country music....crap country!
This will only appeal to Keane fans who think the sun shines out of their backsides.

5.0 out of 5 stars simply Awsome, 23 Mar 2011
Everything I ever wanted Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young to be but they never quite were. This album mixes Americana with vintage R&B perfectly. It starts with the understated Gloria and then just bursts into the sheer brilliance of 'Shine On You' and 'Shakey'. If the album ended there, I'd still give it five stars! But it does't, it just goes on and on, not a bad track on it.Long Live The Duke & The King

3.0 out of 5 stars Gutted by fade out, 23 Mar 2011
I have to agree with the previous reviewer, I too was going to treat myself to 'In Rock' but thought "what they heck, this has all the best bits plus a wealth of other great tracks". How wrong was I? I went straight to Child in Time, cranked up the volume and just as the hairs on the back of my neck were starting to stand up, it fades out! Had the Amazon track listing said 'Edit', I wouldn't have bought this CD and I'd now be enjoying 'In Rock', listening to Child in Time in full and screaming away just like Ian Gillan (but out of tune!!!).
