4.0 out of 5 stars challenge your assumptions about how consumerism affects your family, 3 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Digital clutter, physical clutter, life clutter - it's all dealt with in this book. It's made me re-evaluate what and how I bring stuff into my home and why. I have always been very clear about minimal screen time but it was good to read someone else experiences cranky agitated children once they've watched too much TV. A great starter book for clearing up your home and living a simpler life.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great nights sleep, 13 May 2013
This review is from: Coleman Comfort Airbed (Sports)
Have used about 4 times, slept fine except for latest trip. It's difficult to store once used, doesn't fold up brilliantly. It is now leaking air from one side so basically landfill. Trying to find the receipt from Millets so I can take it back, think that the valve must be faulty as the seals look fine and undamaged.

5.0 out of 5 stars PERFECT TO RELAX TO, 17 Aug. 2006
This review is from: Last Chance Saloon (Paperback)
At times you find yourself getting increasingly frustrated with the characters Katherine and Tara and their inability to move on from relationships that have had or are having a bad effect on their personalities and preventing them from being the sort of women they think they are, strong and independent.

But everyone can relate to this inability, this self destructive tendency we have instilled in us to use as a defence mechanism when our relationships are not going as planned. But while this book raises important issues it also approaches them in a light hearted easy to read way with some witty observations.

5.0 out of 5 stars Count your blessings, 12 Aug. 2006
This review is from: The Luxury of Time (Hardcover)
This book has you laughing a crying, its a true inspirational read. It's a real account of the way cancer affects a wife, a mother, a husband and a father. Sad, funny, brilliant it charts Jane's struggle with the disease. The couple relay how they really thought, felt and behaved as their situation has changed. Her family are so proud of Jane and this really comes through in the book. She is an incredible individual, defying expectations. A fantastic read and ultimately very thought provoking about what is important and possible in life.
