4.0 out of 5 stars Rockin', 20 Feb. 2009
Essential to have with 'Band in The Box' and great fun. No more air guitar, this is nearly as good. Hours of fun and memories (damn good tunes for an old rocker!)with varying levels of difficulty. I would thoroughly recommend this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Cabrel just gets better, 19 Nov. 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Des Roses & Des Orties (Audio CD)
As a Brit I have been a fan of Francis Cabrel since the 80's. Each CD released seems to bring a new maturity. He brings new influences to each album (North African, Arab previously). He has kept these, but brought the accordian to the fore a little more. Now I don't profess to understand all the words (obviously being French he sings in French - but the music is so good it takes you above these small matters!). He is concerned about social problems, and on this CD has written a track about the problems of immigration (my wife is bi-lingual). A good rocking CD with honest music - not one of those overdubbed electronic wizardry type things- these guys actually play their own instruments!! On the strenght of this album I recently travelled to Franch to see him in concert and he did not dissappoint. If you like Cabrel this is a must.

2.0 out of 5 stars Coldplay Acoustic, 19 Nov. 2008
This was a 4 track CD given away free with The Independent On Sunday newspaper.
1. Sparks.(from the 'Parachutes' CD)
2. Careful Where You Stand.(from The 'B-Sides' CD)
3. Yellow (acoustic version from Jo Whiley's Lunchtime Social, Radio 1).
4. See You Soon. (from The 'B-Sides' CD - this version is Live)
All Coldplay classic sounding songs. If you're a dedicated Coldplay fan this is a must for you, though, considering you could find these elsewhere I wouldn't pay much for it

4.0 out of 5 stars The Meeting of Genesis and Yes, 25 Mar. 2005
This review is from: Gtr (Audio CD)
Released in 1986 on Arista this is definitely an album from that era, with power vocals from Max Bacon, bass & backing vocals from Phil Spalding, drums & percussion from Jonathan Mover with the core of the band being Steve Howe (ex-Yes) on guitar, synthesizers & backing vocals and Steve Hackett (ex-Genesis) also on guitar, synthesizers & backing vocals. If you like any of Steve Howe's or Steve Hackett's music there's a fair chance you will like this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Transported back to the 70s, 18 Jan. 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have just received Wide Eyed and Legless. I originally owned La Booga Rooga on LP. What a wonderful job Edsel have done, not only putting Spider Jiving (1974) La Booga Rooga (1975) and Be Bop 'N' Holla (1976) together, but with a booklet containing all words and all musician listings. I have just listened to both CDs and I have been transported back to my youth in the 70s! It's worth it just to hear track 20, "Wide Eyed And Legless". All this for the price of £12.99!! (or even cheaper 2nd hand) You must be crazy NOT to buy it!
