5.0 out of 5 stars A must see., 16 Jan. 2012
This review is from: Serenity [DVD] [2005] (DVD)
You don't even have to see the series to like this movie. It's a must see if you like SciFi, pretty balanced (action, humour, good effects and the like)

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice child game, 16 Jan. 2012
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
My kids have had a really good time playing this game... about a couple of hours... seriously. And no, they're not teenagers, they're 5 and 6. They liked the movie so much I didn't hesitate at buying this game, and I don't regret doing it, but I would've liked a little longer experience.

The game is linear and simple (good for little kids) and the histiry is vey similar to the movie. Controls are easy to understand and you don't even need a manual, since the game itself shows you how to play. Texts and instructions are given both spoken and written, something normal these days, but in this game they are short enough so as to allow small kids to read them. In the spanish version the dubbing voices are the same as the ones in the series/movies, which is also a good thing.

I recommend it, but for the time it lasts, I find it a little overpriced though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job well... a little expensive, 6 Sept. 2011
I think this is a good purchase. Most reading mini lamps shown here use regular button sized batteries that die out and leave you wishing you had purchased a rechargeable unit. This one is... and it's battery lasts enough between recharges, so I'm satisfied with the purchase... but:

1- It feels a bit flimsy and fragile for the price it has.... and it is, indeed.
2- It takes forever to recharge the battery...
3- It has no indicator to know how much battery charge remains. It may look like a simple thing but you can find yourself out of ligth in just seconds, because power fades away very quickly from a given point without warning. For a cheaper item it would be acceptable, but not for a 30+ one.

This aside I don't regret buying it, because I know it will pay off in time saving me the cost of new batteries... I would recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inexpensive low light solution, 21 Mar. 2011
Even though I think ths lens is a bit overpriced (there is a replacement AFS-G now) it's still a very affordable solution for low light shooters. With this lens in a D700 or D3(s) you'll never have to use a tripod again. It's ligth, small and its optics are fairly good. A little soft at 1.4, but if you stop it down to f/2.8 it's great. I would buy it used, though, since you can find it for as low as 100, even less. I would not pay more than 200 for it new, since the new AFS is newer and has better optincs and handling.

It's not a lens for harsh wheather shooters, since it's not weather-sealed, but for regular everyday use it's a very good choice, specially if you find a bargan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Everlasting and trustworthy, 21 Mar. 2011
This batteries are a must when you need a power source that's resting most of the time and then the day comes when you need a good response without worrying about charging them again. You store them charged and it's the same as storing alkalines (you know they'll be working when you need them) They come charged and ready to use. They are worth every penny...

One important thing if you want to maximize their lifespan is to use a charger with individual charging lines, since overcharge can kill them just as any NiMH. Extremely recommendable.

Catch-22

Price: £6.74

5.0 out of 5 stars A must read, 15 Jan. 2010
This review is from: Catch-22 (Paperback)
This is one of the best books I've read in my life. I strongly recommend everyone to read this book, even when the political and ideological position of the author is not the one you may have... It's so well written, you'll enjoy it anyway.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly recommended, 21 Dec. 2009
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
Every Lego series is a delight to play and a lot of fun. Play it with your kids (if you have them :-P) and it's double the fun. If you have seen the movies, then you'll enjoy it even more, but that's not mandatory... you'll always have a great time playing this game. The graphics are fairly good for this platform, but the kind of game is not the one that requires a great graphics engine... in fact it looks the same to me in other platforms. The action flows smoothly and it's very easy to play. There are secret places and hiden levels for every taste. Some of them may require you to find a good walkthrough... Haighly recommended.

The New Nikon Compendium: Cameras, Lenses & Accessories Since 1917 (Lark Photography Book)
by Simon Stafford
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic book, 1 Jun. 2009
This is a great book for everyone who wants to know the history and product line of this great company. Every camera from the first rangefinder to the quite new DSLR lineup is stated in this book. I think a new edition should be available quite soon, since the last DSLRs are not covered in the book (starting with D200 and newer are missing due to book date, of course) Every lens ever made by Nikon, including zooms and rare items are includes, as well as a compatibility list, Nikon serial numbers, affinity lists and special editions. A must have for a collector and a great acquisition for a regular owner who wants to know more about the company.

Strongly recommendes (though I'd wait for a newer edition :-P)

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good but not for beginners., 1 Jun. 2009
I think I bought this book too soon... It's not aimed for early learners. If you are starting with japanese, skip this book. As soon as you master hiragana and have undestood grammars and sentence composition this is a great book to acquire vocabulary and to learn drawing and studying kanji. It's a fantastic dictionary too, since it has a very comprehensive index. What I don't like about this book is its lack of proper names for the sake of simplification, but if you want to know the most used kanji, this book is a must, keep it with you as a reference book and as a dictionary, and practice new and known kanji wherever you are... it's small and easy to carry, and buying used saves you $$$ :-P

Quite recommended.

3.0 out of 5 stars Expecting more, 31 July 2005
I cannot say I'm dissapointed. It's just maybe I was expenting a bit more from a so-long-waited book.
Maybe it's my fault, because the preceding histories made me get too much inside the story. This last one has made me wake up and realise that the media business is so powerfull, that magic world, being so fragile, won't be able to resist its power.
I'm so sorry, I just hope HP7 won't be like Rambo.
P.S. With my best respects for the time and love JK empoyed to write her novel. My advice: don't buy the book, just wait for the movie.
