Rubbish. Might make good mash but it'll be cold by the time you're done. Far far slower than using a traditional masher, and this one really isn't up to the job in terms of build quality, meaning you can only mash a few at a time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent product. Not hugely attractive, 1 April 2015

Excellent product. Not hugely attractive, but I used these to raise-up my bed in order to fit tons of storage boxes, and then later to raise up an antique dresser to a normal desk height to use with my computer. Dead handy, but could be a tad less ugly. Also felt pads on top detach very easily.

Great for the price! Looks very smart and like real leather. Not a fan in shrouding my tech in layer upon layer of cases, so this does a good job of simply protecting my iPad when I've got it in my bag.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for home-made jotter pads, 1 April 2015

I use these to recycle office paper into a handy jotter pad. I tear A4 sheets in half along a ruler, and am then able to reuse the mounds of office paper that would otherwise be chucked. Saving the world a little bit at a time.

4.0 out of 5 stars Your saviour when there's no other option., 1 April 2015
Let's be clear, this won't work if your tyre has come off the rim, if you have any damage to the sidewall, or you're looking at a huge gash, and for those reasons, you'd much rather have a spare.

However it will work if you have a small puncture (say a nail or something) in the tread area of your tyre. The main advantage of this system is that it's really quick and easy. Anyone can do it in the dark or on the hard shoulder of a busy motorway. Once you twist the knob you can back away to safety whilst it inflates. Much preferably if you're in a dangerous area.

Another reviewer has said that it's best not to allow the tyre to fully deflate, and I agree. There's not enough pressure in the can to fully reinflate your tyre, so if you're travelling abroad, take a pair of these plus a foot-pump or a Co2 cartridge inflator with a few spare cartridges..

FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. It's incredibly easy to use. Try and get the puncture at the bottom of the wheel after removing the object (if you found one), then shake the bottle, screw onto the valve and empty into the tyre. Then immedietly get in and drive 6-12 miles at no more than 30mph. It's the centripedal force that drives the latex into puncture causing fibres to bond together and form a plug. Then adjust the pressure again.

It holds pressure surprisingly well and will do enough to get you to a garage in your own time. Like another reviewer states, find a garage who'll do the repair as they are out there (Kwik Fit won't as they are wary the sealant could mask a leak and later fail, and many garages don't have the facilities to be washing-out tyres).

Not much heavier than a plastic one, but uber durable. Mark yours with a sharpie to stop it going AWOL on camp.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sturdy, but heavy, and smaller than expected..., 10 Sept. 2013

For it's size, it's a truly weighty bit of kit. I'm not someone who obsesses about pack weights, but I can't see this ever making it into my rucksack. It might go away with me on some group camps, but I'd never hike with it. On the upside the thickness of the metal means your food doesn't go stone cold within seconds whilst outdoors, and it's not so easy to burn stuff as you get a more even heat. It's made out of stainless steel too, so is easier to clean than an aluminum one. It's also not going to fold in on itself like the cheap mess tins are.

That said, for the price, it leaves a lot to be desired. At least with cheap mess tins you can pack stuff inside them. This is twice as heavy, yet you can't pack a spork inside it (about half a centimeter too small to accept one even on the diagonal).

My tip is to buy the small trangia mess tin. It stores my trangia triangle, burner, teeny bottle of meths and a spork all in one, and fits nicely into a side pocket of a rucksack. It's aluminium, but sturdier than the cheap mess tins, and has a tight fitting lid. Also about £7 cheaper. Buy that one, not this.

Ok, for a light home windows user, this is probably fine. But for gods sake, don't buy this if you work in an office, or if you're a tad heavy handed. We got a few of these for the office, and it sounds like sitting in a tent during a hailstorm.

Excellent bit of kit. Tiny package (bit of a sting for the cost), but actually totally worth it. The pliers are great and really handy, and the knife shavably sharp. Screw drivers robust enough for most applicartions, and the scissors pretty useful too.

I find myself using this thing every day. Couldn't be without it, and more than a year and a half later, it's still going strong.
