4.0 out of 5 stars The backstory of the Murdoch empire, 18 July 2011
This is an excellent primer for how Rupert Murdoch managed to take control of the UK media and, in effect, gain unprecedented control of UK politics over the past forty years. I write this review as the hacking scandal deepens and recommend this as an answer to many questions about the building of the Murdoch empire.

Overbed Table - Split legs
Overbed Table - Split legs

4.0 out of 5 stars Not quite as pictured!, 2 July 2011
This review is from: Overbed Table - Split legs
The base is a U-shaped piece of tubing with the verticals being inserted into holes about 8cm from the straight part, so you are unable to have this right against the wall. Luckily I had (just) enough room to put it up anyway. the bolts to hold the top are approx 48cm from the floor, so a low bed is also a good idea.

The top is lovely though and it holds my large laptop with room to spare.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for the price, but...., 29 Jun 2011
It was a very quick delivery. The bed comes in a very compact box and took about an hour to put together (unhurriedly). Some of the slats had poorly drilled holes or no holes but the screws went through the wood fine. The slats were also a little short, so quality control needed as one was too short to go between the sides.

The instructions also were very small and rather basic.

Once assembled, it looks nice and the mattress fits well.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent, 29 May 2003
After waiting YEARS for the Goodies to be released on DVD, I can say I'm happy with the result (so far!).
On this 2 disc set we have 8 episodes of the goodies spanning 1970-1977. These are good examples of the show, but the best episodes are still to come. Ecky Thump and Saturday Night Grease are masterful parodies of, respectively, kung-fu movies (which had only being internationally released in the previous couple of years) and musicals.
The extras are also good. We have commentary on three episodes (excellent), some outtakes and the only surviving footage from Broaden Your Mind (which was the predecessor to the goodies).
The total running time is about 255 minutes and not the78 mentioned on some websites. There are no cuts to the programs and the restoration team has done an excellent job.
